No time to play today, but with it being a TST style event, i think ill survive I'm bad enough at putting with the grid on as it is. Threw in the towel today after a 4-putt from 10 feet on 7.

Dropped a -8 to take a 1 shot lead in True Tuesday. Almost choked away a great round as I was -7 thru 10. Great course for no grids as the greens weren't crazy

Close, but no cigar in catching -15. Had my first hole in one, though! So can't be too disappointed

So I gave up today after 4 holes, the first where I missed a 4-foot putt, the next where I hit an inexplicable fast shot into the water, hit the tree with my next punch shot into the water, then ultimately 3-putted for a 9, the third hole where I 3-putted from 7 feet, and the 4th hole where I 4-putted.

Super high winds today, played like garbage. Had a few holes with terrible swings. Even when I was hitting well the majority of the time, I missed multiple sub-10 foot birdie putts in a way that would leave me a 30 or 40 foot par putt, or a chip. Had a whole bunch of drives I'd made near-perfect contact and land it in the center of the fairway only to have it bounce into the rough. Ended up shooting a 79.
EDIT: Just for grins I just played the course again in the same conditions and shot a 68, putting it 5 fewer times and hitting 6 more fairways. My birdie conversion rate went from 12.5% on 8 GIR to 66.6% on 9 GIR.

Well, that couldn't have started worse. Had a lot of great practice swings, then hooked my second shot on the first way left and missed the par putt. Then 4-putted for a double bogey on 2 from like 12 feet. Then hooked my drive on the third hole into the water and missed the subsequent par putt. Missed a 7 foot birdie putt on 4. Missed a 10 foot birdie putt on 6. Hooked my 2nd shot on 7 just OB, then missed the 8 foot bogey putt. Lipped out for birdie on 8. Had an eagle putt from about 15 feet on 9, 3-putted. +6 for the front 9. Even with the shanks I could be -2 or -3 if I could putt.
Don't understand why (a) the more I play the worse I am at putting, and (b) every tournament I play I completely implode in the first round. In the PGA tournament this week I went 77-73-66-69. In the Euro tournament this week I went 75-65-66-64 (and was +8 through 12 holes).

Finished the first round at +1 after a 30 on the back 9. Yeah, yeah, nice job getting back to a respectable score. I'm tired of shooting myself in the foot right from the off and having to scrap my way back to being respectable.
EDIT: So the second round had started off OK, and then I had a 3-putt bogey from 16 feet on 5 and a 3-putt bogey from 7 feet on 6. Had a couple of birdies then when OB on 9 due to a fast downswing and missed the par putt. 3-putted after putting it on in 2 on the par 5 12th. Landed a flop 2 feet from the pin on 13 and it spun back down the hill leaving myself a 42 foot birdie putt (which I missed, obviously). Missed a 10-foot birdie putt on 14. Bounced OB on the drive on 15.
Third round I was -8 through 17, should have been -10 having missed 2 5-foot birdie putts. Went in the water three times on 18 and finished at -2 for the round.
I give up. I'm done.

Not a huge fan of a couple of things on this course - most namely, OB placement and green slopes+speed/pin locations. Not that it matters much, just an opinion.

This course played pretty well in TGC1, but for me not so well in TGC2! As you said, the OB is in some odd places at times. The waypoints seem to be in the wrong position plenty of times too. The main thing for me though was the greens. As TGC2 has the phantom break situation from TGC1 magnified x3, it becomes a bit of a nightmare trying to get the ball into the hole around here! Sometimes it looked like there was a huge break and it would go straight on, other times a flat looking putt would break a couple of feet? Some of the placements were a little strange to say the least. The amount of short putts I missed because of this started to get really annoying, 3 putting from 6 feet should never happen. It would probably play better with the grids off. The course as a design is pretty good though, just those little annoyances drag it down a bit. I shot -33 in the end, which isn't too bad. Could have been a lot better, but could have been worse as I made some excellent par saves, when I hit the ball into water or the deep stuff with some wayward driving!

The OB placements were enough for me to quit this tournament. When you're getting rock hard bounces in the fairway and your ball bounces across a cart path and you're hitting 3 off the tee more on ore than one occasion...ya...no fun. I've never seen so many OB stakes on a golf course

well I saw the notorius B.Garcia only managed a -2 today and after getting to -2 fairly early I thought I was going to beat him lol guess the alcohol and my inability to read greens and the fact I am not very good cost me think I ended at +2 or 3 very well played blueorfeDaveC_87mrooola
