I shot a personal record my 1st round with a -11. All my practice rounds have been between -6 and -8 so I was really pumped. Hoping to play the 2nd round tonight or Thursday evening. I figure I need to shoot a -6 for sure, but somewhere in the -8 to -10 range would feel good. Trying not to put to much pressure on myself :-)

How do you play 2 rounds bogey free and shoot -15! ARRRGGG! The Par 5's killed me on this course. Couldn't get my pitch shots close to save my life. Having a feeling I'll be one shot off the cut line.

You can do this... if you aren't willing to abuse power there's no point in having it! He hit a 700 yard drive I seent it! Just add 1 shot to his first 2 rounds... and we are in then take the 1 shot back away on Saturday or something... behind the scenes. Roger Goodell would do this! I shot 62-61 last 2 rounds or some awesomesauce don't make it all in vain!

Missed cut for me. But I set a new Guinness book world record for missed birdie putts in the opening round so I got that going for me.

LOL, how about the 10 shot rule? Ya know the one I am talking about, top 70 AND those within 10 shots of the lead make the cut. I bet Job would join me on that.

Having a feeling I'll be one shot off the cut line. The par 5's were tougher than they looked, think I only took advantage of the 17th as I had the wind helping so had eagle attempts all 4 times (only made 1 though). Better get practicing for Jebel with your pitching as I think there's only 1 par 5 that's reachable in 2 and I havn't been able to hold that green with a 3wd yet. I'll probably just do what I've been doing in practice if the wind is helping and try to play through that green and have a flop and a putt for birdie.

Interesting factoid: 11 rounds below 60 in round one, only 6 in round 2. Only 1 player with back to back rounds under 60.
Going into the tournament, judging by the "Unofficial Practice Rounds" page on TGC Tours website the average score was 66.
Looking at just the leaderboard in practice my best practice round of 61 ranked 29th.
Going into the event, my thought was -52 would be needed to win. And it would take two rounds a shot or two below the "Unofficial Practice Round" average to make the cut. In this case -14 to -16.
That all being said a cut of -17 should not come as a huge surprise.
I am sitting at -16, and it may be a long night Friday waiting to see if the last 20 players to post scores knock me out.

Just finished round 2. Posted a 59, my best round ever. I exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Never imagined I could go that low and be sitting 4th on the leaderboard. I was just hoping to make the cut this week! Hopefully I am on to something and not just a lucky streak. Good luck to all this weekend.

But wait til you see how that all worked out. <Wamp, wamp>

Well, played my final two rounds earlier today and failed to capitalise on still conditions.
Round 3 - Was going good through 9 holes at 5 under, but couldn't buy a putt in the first few holes of the back 9 and hit some really poor shots coming in. Two bogies left me 5 under overall.
Final Round - dodginess continued early on. Two more bogies (including on the par 5 3rd!) but turned it around to post 64.
-30 overall will probably put me last or close to last of the top 70 but i made the cut....so reasonably happy. Just got to be more consistent.

I want to say how great it feels to look at the leaderboard and see my name is the FIRST one shown as MC. Such a great feeling, really.
Arrgh.

Well, finished my rounds today and I am a little disappointed with the weekend results. I played so well my first 2 rounds then I was back to my normal self. Actually a little under normal, only went -11 for the weekend.
Still overall happy with making a cut and a top 50 finish on my first tournament. Better than I imagined before the week.
