Hmmmm... I'm also thinking about spending a bit of money on Sergio! He's long overdue of winning a Major, and I'd say that rough weather conditions might be advantageous to him. Spanish analyst, who are close to Sergio say that he is really focused now that his private life is quite stable, and that gives him a lot of confidence. And for the first time he's played a good third round. Jon is paying the toll for the first time in Augusta, he is playing ok, but not great. And Spieth seems to be a good bet as of now. Interesting 4th round in front of us, lots of great players out there

New forum avatar just for this occasion!
I would've liked to see BoomBoom get another one (as in Couples, not the TGCT liar) but that won't happen. My pick is that someone from that 2nd-to-last pairing will win. Not sure if it'll be Fowler or Spieth, but both are really playing good golf atm.

Good for Sergio. The label of choker is gone as well as the best player to never win a major. After his drive on 13, he showed a lot of patience and resolve and played near flawless golf.

really enjoyed the final round ebbed and flowed wasn't too bothered who won being English would have been nice to have Rose win following on from Willett but really pleased for Sergio to win on what would have been Seve's 60th

Come on the Europeans. Anyone but that silly ass American Spieth please. I bet on him on purpose because my betting record is so bad and of course he threw it away. Once I bet on Newcastle to go down just so it wouldn't happen and that worked too as they stayed up. Wish I'd bet on them to go down last year!
Great tournament by the way, So pleased for Sergio. How can people think Golf is boring?

Also is there any other sport where English/British supporters are happy to see Europeans do well? I've never heard anyone say they want Germany to win the world cup over Brazil for example. It just shows how much influence the Ryder cup has over our thinking.

Obviously footie has individual leagues for their own country so we're not as affiliated. The future is bright with the likes of Pieters and Fitzpatrick too 👍

Pieters has "U.S. Open" Written all over his body.

He's incredibly talented, no doubt about that.
If he has his distances under control, he's able to beat anyone. No matter if it's DJ, Day, Rory, ...

I won £70 on Rose in the golf club sweep, it would have been £110, but i wasn't that bothered. 😁

Pieters has "U.S. Open" Written all over his body. I'd be thrilled if Pieters won the Us Open, he tried to qualify at my home club about 4 years ago and didn't make it in, but he's super talented and a good bet
