Qualifications for USA team:
The United States Team will feature the 10 players who earn the most official FedExCup points from the 2015 BMW Championship through to the 2017 Deutsche Bank Championship, with points earned in the calendar year 2017 counting double, and two captain's picks.

Based off WGR, I'm the #8 US player. Based off the calculations here, I don't even make top 15!
I can always cross my fingers for a Captain's pick I suppose. Or just step up my game a few notches these next 5 months!

Are players such as Daxon Blaze and John Santorella who play on the Euro Tour just relying on a Captains pick as they don't get Fed Ex points each week?

Are players such as Daxon Blaze and John Santorella who play on the Euro Tour just relying on a Captains pick as they don't get Fed Ex points each week? I believe so, yes. For the Ryder Cup last season the European card holders from the U.S. were in on the captain's picks' spreadsheet. |
