I don't play many games on my old laptop for obvious reasons but a friend is getting a Gaming PC for her son. What do you guys think?
*£800 for entire rig setup, including PC, 144hz Gsync monitor, keyboard, gaming mouse, mat
- i5 4690k de-lidded and overclocked to 4.7GHz (can go as far as 4.9GHz on air)
- Evo 212 CPU cooler
- Asrock Z97X Killer Fatal1ty ATX motherboard
- Asus ROG GTX 1070
- HyperX Fury 2x 4GB RAM running at 2400MHz
- 1TB WD Blue HDD
- Seasonic S12 II (Japanese Caps) 620w PSU
- Falcon Case
- 1000hz PnP Fatal1ty Mouse Port
- Samsung DVD/RW drive
- x3 Case Fans
- Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Optional:
- AOC G2460PG 144hz G-Sync 1ms monitor 24" with ULMB (£180)
- Mionix Castor gaming mouse (£20)
- Coolermaster CM Storm gaming keyboard (£5)
- Roccat Taito mid-size 3mm gaming mousemat (free with the mouse, worth £10)
If you want all the extra's just call it a straight £200.
You won't find such a powerful gaming PC combo with 144hz G-Sync capabilities for £800 anywhere else.
PC will be formatted with a fresh copy of Windows 10 64-bit, and I will install Heaven Benchmark with RealTemp so you can see the PC running perfectly before taking it.
Expect to play everything at maximum details without a hitch.
I highly recommend the optional 144hz G-Sync monitor. It's a technology that you have to see to believe how smooth the results are. They are quite expensive to buy new, so grab yourself a bargain to compliment the rig.
