Wooot!! Great job hootbleet!
Also like to thank all the designers as you've given us plenty of hours of golf to play on new courses!
Thanks Griff for running the contest - know that it can be a tough gig sometimes but you saw it through! Take a day off to relax!

Hats off Hootbleet . The list of designers you knocked off on the way read like a who's who in the game and those castle ruins carried you a long way, I feel. That was probably the single coolest feature in any of the contest courses, with what pyates did with some of the castles and walls on Corran coming a close second. Hopefully, this leads to bigger and better for you from the design aspect. Couple of choices didn't suit my eye, but then again no two designers are alike ... and I still can't figure out how to play 6 to save my life. That's ultimately what gave tastegw a one stroke win on last night's show. As for ACES-R-WILD , no commiserations here. Coming second in this contest, considering the field is nothing to hang your head over. Cedar Pointe was the cleanest looking course in the contest, IMO, and was certainly worthy of getting to the finals. Lots to be proud of with that one. Well done, gentlemen.

Well done Graham, fantastic job! I've got to say it was a pleasure to judge in this contest, there were a number of courses I really liked and it often came down to small details. Those ruins, man.... You could make an argument for one or two of the other courses, but St Bedes is such fun to play and you've captured the look absolutely perfectly. You're a worthy winner

Many congratulations Hoot... excellent course. I was happy to see you progress past mine as it was clearly the better course. I have to admit I've not played the other finalist, which I will, but definitely a worthy winner
Great job Griff and all the judges, very well run contest.

Hey Hootbleet, really deserved win, congratulations!!!! @griff, I must say I really liked this contest. Your job was amazing, and all of the judges, thanks for all your hard work. And we even had a bit of drama, that made it even more intense

Well deserved win. While there were many great courses in the competition, I truly thought yours was a standout, and will be remembered as one of the best courses in the game. Congrats.

Corran Castle was another one of my favourites in this competition, beautiful course with a breathtaking opening stretch of holes, and I saw your reaction when you lost to St Bedes. You sir are clearly a class act as both a designer and a person. To be fair, that goes for nearly every designer in this contest. It's hard when you're judging these because they're all so good you're looking for the things that aren't quite right to separate them, basically nitpicking. You've all done a fantastic job and I look forward to playing the ones Griff didn't let me play!
