The tiebreak will be a 18 hole playoff, although I like yaters idea.

My boys picked me up this week, if we lose it will be my fault. But what a great match between Nv/Ut and Cali. Seems to be the birth of a little friendly rivalry, gotta love it.

How long can I draw out this suspense before playing my rounds.. lol The longer you wait, the more nervous you will be. I can see it now... controller trembling in your hand, thumbs get shaky. My goodness, the pressure.

-11 after round 1 with some missed opportunities.
only birdied the two par 5's on the front at Old Romney and we were in some serious trouble.
Par at 10 made us really in trouble... needing -6 on the final 8 to tie and -7 to win. Pitch for eagle on 11 skims the hole and settle for birdie. 12 is probably the easiest pin on the course so tap in there... hole out a chip on 13 for birdie and things are looking better.
Misplay 14 and end up with a par.. so now -3 on the last 4 holes to tie and -4 to win. Sit for a while on the tee on the short 15th deciding on whether or not to go for it... end up laying back with a 5wood, which turns out to be a good choice as I hit the approach to a few feet for birdie.
Hit a terrible approach on 16 and the chip misses right. Need birdie on 17 and 18 to tie.
Hit a great shot into 17 that bounces in the rough short and goes to a few feet for a birdie... so it all comes down to 18. Eagle to win, Birdie to tie.
Solid drive to 221 yards.. watch the wind carefully.. loft up about 1/4th of the way on the 3 iron and let it fly... balls hits my spot perfectly, takes the little left turn and ends up 10 feet away for the clinching eagle putt.
Well played Nevada and Utah.. tough luck to lose that way.
-11 -9 for -20!

1 more week to go boys... you guys lead us off and I'll anchor us to a championship!

Thanks again loughrey for setting this all up and finishing it off. It's been fun.
Good playing with you Nevada boys. Maybe we can do it again sometime in the future.

Season 2 will be starting shortly after these playoffs end. Qualification tournaments for certain states are well under way and most of the teams have already been finalised. That was a hell of a match and I am looking forward to the rematch in the new season. It would have been a great series if it had of been best of 7, but it would have taken an age to play.

There will be no rematches... California is the undisputed champions of the west coast
In all seriousness.. it would have been really epic to play these matches 1 on 1 and on twitch... too bad we can't make the schedules work.

The only question now is will California be the 72 Dolphins or the 07 Patriots. It should be fun finding out.
