With all the new courses that have come out in the last few weeks this might get a little lost. The Club at Bull's Bay is the real course recreation of Bull's Bay Golf Club located in Awendaw, South Carolina, just north of Charleston. Designed by the late Mike Strantz, the course transforms a uniquely South Carolina Lowcountry setting into one reminiscent of the great links courses of Scotland and Ireland. At Bull's Bay there are dramatic elevation changes and 360-degree views unlike any in the Lowcountry.
The course comes in at 7,052 yards over a par of 71. Greens are fast and a little firm but still approachable with good course management and approach shots.

I am a HUGE Mike Strantz fan, so will be curious to check this one out as I've actually played this course IRL. Thanks for the publish, man.

I'll make sure to play it and give you some feedback. And if you see that I forget it, remind me about the course, with total freedom

ok I have to say that there are some things about this course that are just great and make me want to play it again. The look of the trees, the grasses, the tee views...there's just something that makes me happy about it.
Knowing Stranz greens are crazy I'm sure you're pretty accurate (what say you griff?) but for a game they may need to be turned down a little or softened. a few holes are flat out unfair on pins I think. There are some niggly things that could be done better (walls, some bunkers...that kind of thing) but DANG it's a pretty course and I'll be playing it again... if the greens can get figured out it needs a tour stop.

I considered releasing the first version as a softer course but decided that at barely over 7,000 it would be just way to easy. I get some pins are difficult but that requires you to play to a spot, often leaving a 10-15 foot birdie putt or risk flag hunting and missing the green entirely. If you want a birdie fest on tour this might be a course to avoid.

Thought this was a masterpiece and possibly one of the top 10 TGC courses I've played. The marshy areas were so cool, it almost felt like HB had released a new theme. Such a unique look.
Really nice work, hope this gets on tour soon!

Simply a gorgeous course!
The sculpting has your attention from the word go and never lets up. The terrain just flows spectacularly. Actually felt the firm conditions worked for this on pretty decently. A couple holes you had no prayer of leaning it close (16 sticks out to me with the back left pin), but if was pretty fair overall. Shot -9 in light winds and think it would make a real good web course in into current state. CC guys would really go crazy for a medium version, I think.
Can't speak to the actual course it's based on, but it sure looked, felt and played like a real course. Thoroughly enjoyed myself for the opening tee shot to the final putt. Don't hand out many 10s, but this got one from me. Spectacular course, this!

I came across this last night from a message that one of my XBL friends played it and from the first tee I knew it would be a special course. Felt very authentic even though I'm not familiar with the course at all. Best of all I'm the current leader on XBL with a -10. With that said I gave it a 10 along with a definite favorite!

Absolute cracking course here, one of the most original and creative styles that I've seen in tgc, right up there with The Breakers and The Sandbelt for creating a unique look.
The marshlands are just excellent, so natural looking and must have taken ages to plant all that grass. The mounding is also natural and really makes the views from the tees pop. Few tricky tee shots and lots of fun approach shots to uphill green complexes. I like the higher winds associated with the countryside theme even if some of the trees look subpar compared to other themes. Only complaint would be perhaps a bit long with two 600+ yard holes. And there's something odd going on with one of the corners of the plot edge, looks like maybe the water was sunk too low and reveals a shadowy look edge but just aesthetic and doesnt take away from the experience.....
Would love a medium version for a more casual round, those max firm greens can be a bit stressful in 10+ winds!
