This week I decided to make a tournament to acknowledge the fine course creation of Pyates.
Therefore, for those looking for something to do, look under "TOURS" and find "Pyates' Courses Tournament.
There we see four of his creations: Round 1 - Marzion Round 2 - Tye Sands Round 3 - University Links Round 4 - Tye Dunes
Note the final two are firm greens. I think Marzion might also be, not 100% sure.
Have fun, post your scores and thanks Pyates.

I played two rounds. Never played Marzion before, it can be a beast. Yes it is firm. I didn't have the right club and dumped it into the water on 18 so double there and -4.
Tye Sands medium conditions. -15
Good luck!

-4 and -10 for -33 over all. I wonder if anyone will try it. Pyates' courses deserve respect.

This wasn't meant to be a huge event in major competition. It is something simply for fun, to honor a good course creator to let people get to play some great courses. I didn't want to take away from the thrill of the Ryder Cup.
Thank you tho for your input and concern. Feel free to join and beat my score if you can.

-8 -17 (new PB on any course, had a bogus jump over the hole on an eagle putt on whatever the 2nd to last par 5 was to deny me a -18 round) -5 -7 =37 Fun courses all round, I enjoyed it

Well shot and well done overall! The round that I put in for University links, there was one person that shot -8 in those conditions, the average was -2 so well done. I'm glad you did better than me on Marzion as I have never played it

-8, -8 to start... I made so many mistakes in what should have been an easier second round. Failed to birdie either of the last 2 holes which should be criminal... and I even had a bogey on hole 7, shocking.

I think it happened on the RRCC three months back. I've done it 5 times since then with a best of 21 under. Just waiting to be able to go 18 under on an actual tour stop. With the changes to the number of firm courses this year, we may very well get a better chance to do that.

Seems like it was at the Open last year with you on top of the leaderboard! I shot a disastrous 3 under. But that makes sense if the cut line during the Open seemed to be 7 under.
