I am totally happy for you to take over the tournament if you wish. I am sorry for all the drama, but like I said in my post, I won't be called a liar by someone who never posted their scores, and still bizarrely wants credit for playing when they didn't. Chris, I was going to let the matter drop but if you are going to act like this then the community deserves to see the evidence before you run away. That post was made ahead of the deadline for the first round of that tournament. It shows: 1. The tournament was indeed played. 2. A score was posted for you. As the other team had finished, I notified you that I was 8 strokes behind with 7 holes to play. Thus, because the other team had finished -27 and my partner had turned in a -16, that meant our team had a score of -19. As I knew the lead of the other team was insurmountable, and because I had to leave for medical care, I posted this on the forums to inform you the score of the match and to concede the match to the opposing team. I could have simply not played at all instead of trying to squeeze those rounds in...but I had until now the respect for you to not just bail on a round of the tournament without at least trying to get it in. When it was clear the round was lost for our pairing, there was simply no logical reason to progress past that point. And then I showed you the respect by posting that information on the thread informing you of the situation. Now, if you want to run away and claim that I never played and never posted a score, there's nothing I can do about that. I've promoted you on the forums and the podcast and even started a thread here to have you named Community Member of the Year for the work you've put into these forums. So what you're saying and doing vs. what you are claiming just doesn't add up, man.

Irving did play. He did not post a score. Those are objective facts.
It's a team tournament, any shaming for not posting usually comes from the team. In this case there seems to have been circumstances that most can understand might result in a WD.
Don't see why the organizer would be in fits over someone not posting. It's a WD and loss for the team. Move on.
Irving - your personal circumstances are, in fact, completely irrelevant to the tournament. However, seeing what they are, keeping a video game commitment should have been completely irrelevant to you in the bigger picture. Now, be grateful that you lead a privileged enough life to bicker about sh%$ like this on an Internet forum and pick yourself up and carry on.

Let's try to keep this on topic of who is playing and who is not. Irving clearly is not playing so the explanation showing up here meant for someone who has left the forums falls on deaf ears. Hopefully his organizing of Irving vs The World takes off with flying colors and participants can only hope there are no 11 hole golf courses mixed into the rotation.

Just a thought, I would like to nominate myself as non playing captain/first reserve, I feel that I actually prefer the banter to the actual golf. I'm more than happy to sit out the round and just play for Europe if someone can't play. I have been neglecting my duties as a ranger,as I keep joining in with these brilliant tournaments. I don't want to overstep the mark, if it's a rubbish idea let me know.

Sooo what's the status of us carrying on in this tourney? Are we still doing it? No big rush just curious if we were still doing it. Cheers!

Well I guess we must lower the flag to half staff on this one. Shame really. Was shaping up to be a lot of fun.
