Best we can do is give trophy cards to the runners-up. But I've yet to be convinced to do that. This is what confuses me. Why are you still unconvinced? Your argument he was an eligible player is flawed in that he really was NOT eligible. The fictional person "Bryan Boomer" was eligible...but the person actually playing the game was ineligible to be a part of TGC Tours at the time. Thus, any tournament entered by "Bryan Boomer" was not an eligible entry because the actual, physical player was ineligible to play. It doesn't matter if he called himself Bryan Boomer or Jason White or Irving R. Levine or Mort The Wonder Llama. The actual, physical player was ineligible to be a TGCTours contesting player at the time of the event. So given that the player of the game...the one who used the controls on the game...was ineligible, the wins therefore are invalid as if the player wasn't there in the first place. It would be the same as The Machine entering a playing a tournament in CC-Z...he may win by 400 strokes, but he wouldn't be an eligible player. No one would say he wins and the person who finished after him that was within the rules of the game in being there would be declared the winner. So you can say he was the "best player" that week...but he was not the best TGCT ELIGIBLE player to play that week. Thus, whoever was the top TGCT eligible player that week is the winner, not Bryan Boomer. |

Well I'm going to go the opposite direction and express my disappointment...
Does he deserve the be punished? yes... does he deserve the be banned indefinitely? no.
I think a ban for the rest of this season would be sufficient. I wouldn't have had a problem with him coming back for season 3.

I don't understand your logic. Why would we tweet out "Bryan Boomer returns"? Bryan Boomer isn't returning. He doesn't exist but neither do a myriad of other people on our leaderboards, so I am not sure I get the point? And I've already stated, we can't remove his wins. It is technologically a nightmare. Best we can do is give trophy cards to the runners-up. But I've yet to be convinced to do that. But you are happy with him (by whatever name) being recognised as the winner of those events for as long as TGCT exists? Surely he was ineligible the second he went against his ban and signed up again? I get the impression that if you could just delete him, you would. For obvious logistical reasons, you can't. No problem. Nobody is suggesting you bust a gut to fix absolutely everything. Changing the owners of the trophies would just be a gesture in that direction. And something for which there is precedent |

I don't want to hear about anything else. I don't think most of us were expecting anything else. At least, I wasn't. I know you can't do all the crap in the database without it being a PITA. Really, I think it's just the visible thing on the forums, etc. to say "this is the real, legitimate winner." |

The Bryan Boomer account be completely hidden from any and all and his name be removed from the ticker at the top of the TGCTours main page 2. All trophies from his wins be stripped and awarded to the 100% eligible players who rightfully deserve them. Right those 2 wrongs in addition to the imposed "indefinite" (I used quotes because I'm still not 100% sold that it will happen)ban and I think the majority would be somewhat happy |

I must say I'm disappointed in this. Appreciate it is a pain, but his results should now be null and void. We've been beaten my someone who wasn't supposed to be there. Not only that, but for me I was desperate for that win, something that I had to wait an extra long time to get because of this. So I think it'd be appreciated if you could add it to a list of things to revisit at some point. Agree, can an asterisk be added next to Boomer's name or change it at the end of the season? Even the IOC can get it right in the end, I'm sure it can be done at some point. Congratulations to Mike on your Players Championship and to James on your Honda Classic and Greenbrier Classic wins. Oh damn it was the Players for me? I didn't look and don't really care too much, but it would be pretty nice to be the 2016 "5th Major" champion. I ain't even mad about the truckload of money and Ryder Cup points I lost to a fraud, but gimmie dat ugly ass glass trophy thing! TGCT does a great job of running things, but fixing this would be nice. |

My goodness. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Awesome video and I agree - post of the year slightly edging out wagtunes creepy ventriloquist act  Yeah, except I'm a local celebrity and that guy's just a nobody. Did I miss something? This is for fake trophies and fake money right? Do you guys really want me to spend 2/3 hours away from my family and other obligations to readjust and reallocate some fake money and trophies? Wow. Have you read the thread? I literally don't think a single person has suggested that. Everything I've read, myself included, fully acknowledges the impracticality of adjusting all the numbers. Everyone here, to a man, seems to understand that and has stated as much. I just think changing 3 trophy icons is in order and would be well within the capabilities of admin to accomplish without causing too much inconvenience. Call it what you want, but we got beat by a banned player using a pseudonym. Fance Farmstrong if you will. |

I wouldn't say I'm disappointed (personally don't really care much), but heck, people get DUIs and don't even have their license suspended for a year...and yet because some guy does something sketchy on a video game, some want his whole existence scratched from the record for good and never to come back?
Also don't really understand the big deal about the trophy... no one thinks that the team that finished 2nd in the BCS is the true champion just because the original winner had a player that got some cash from a booster. (although if I was 2nd, I might change my mind ).
Not sure if the system works this way, but I think they should just change Bryan Boomer's name on the site to Bryan Boomer (vacated) or something.... that way he's not getting credit but we're not trying to pretend a bunch of history doesn't exist.

Hi everyone i`m new on this site can somebody please tell me what has he done to be called a cheat Got banned. Created another account under a different name to skirt the ban and continued to play. He won 3 times on his second account which was created to circumvent the original ban. |
