Welcome to "The Baltasar" .
Based on Baltusrol Golf Club - host of the 2016 PGA Championship and with a pedigree of major championships
The course will come in a number of set ups aimed at all levels of players including a full tee-set for the simulators.
Set ups:
The Baltasar, Springfield NJ, Championship Tees 7400yds - Par 72, Medium Fairways, Medium Greens, Green Speed at 172
The back tees at Balty can have some bite. Won't challenge good players but requires some accurate approach shots and will be a real challenge on the simulators.
The Baltasar, Springfield NJ, Tillinghast tees, 7015yds - Par 72, Medium Fairways, Medium Greens, Green Speed at 172
This is the blue (back) tees. A version mainly aimed at simulators and casual players that want a relaxing experience with plenty of birdies. Pins are set fairly easy and there are plenty of short par 5s.
The Baltasar, Springfield NJ, Baltasar tees, 6552yds - Par 72, Medium Fairways, Medium Greens, Green Speed at 168
This is mainly a simulator version. The "ProTee" one. Plays very easy in game.
The Baltasar, Springfield NJ, Club tees, 6325yds - Par 72, Medium Fairways, Medium Greens, Green Speed at 168
Plays easier than LBM - this is for the guys with simulators only probably.
The Baltasar, Springfield NJ, Curtis tees, 5539yds - Par 73, Medium Fairways, Medium Greens, Green Speed at 154
The Ladies / Beginner tees. For simulator use.
The Baltasar, Springfield NJ, TST 1 - 7423yds, Par 70, Firm Fairways, Firm Greens, Green speed at 187
The Baltasar, Springfield NJ, TST 2 - 7288yds, Par 70, Medium Fairways, Medium Greens, Green speed at 168, Rain
The Baltasar, Springfield NJ, TST 3 - 7345yds, Par 70, Firm Fairways, Firm Greens, Green speed at 178
The Baltasar, Springfield NJ, TST 4 - 7385yds, Par 70, Firm Fairways, Firm Greens, Green Speed at 187
These were used on the TST for the PGA Championship, and are the most authentic representation of the PGA Championship this course will give. Not overly difficult with aids on, hopefully they will provide the stern test of golf the course deserves in the TST PGA Championship. This is what to play to get some insight in how the course will set up for the pros in a few weeks (I hope, if my rendition is close enough...)
The Baltasar, Springfield NJ, PGA 16, Pin 1 - 7446yds, Par 70, Firm Fairways, Firm Greens, Green speed at 187
The Baltasar, Springfield NJ, PGA 16, Pin 2 - 7412yds,Par 70, Firm Fairways, Firm Greens, Green speed at 187
The controversial set ups for the TGCT PGA Campionship. These two set ups were done to challenge the best in the game and succeeded in doing so. Scores can be had but require great strategy, laser precision and great putting. These can be said to be "tricked up"
Screenshots below from the Tillinghast version.
Overview with holes 7-13 in focus as they are laid out in a very space efficient way.
3d hole. A monster from the tips.
12th green - long par 3, as is the norm for this course.
13th tee, creek running down the right side on this excellent dog leg
18th tee - Course finishes with two par fives with 18 being the more reachable one.
18th second shot. Tricky one if going for the green. There is a marker in the fairway showing the spot from where Jack Nicklaus hit a 1I onto the green to set up birdie and grab the lowest four round score in a U.S Open.
