Just wrapped up at +76. That last course really got me and I was +22. I do love this game and have a hard time putting down the controller and making myself do things, you know, like sleep. My wife already hates it and I've only had it for 3 days. I really need to practice some more, but playing the game is what I really love. A few things I learned....
-Hitting the fairway is an absolute must. 2nd shots out of the rough are killers -The 9 iron chip shot saved me probably 10 strokes over the last 2 rounds once I read that tip. Thanks BoomBoom! -Putting is terribly hard on fast greens and the thing I need to practice most. I think I read the greens pretty well, but if you can't hit it the proper speed, then you will miss 99.9% of the time.
Maybe some of these will help someone not make the same mistakes!

gopreds....
Understand that 100%..... Most play the Q school way too early (most of us do)... playing the easy courses the game provides, shooting under par, then the hard Q school courses just eat you alive... No worries though, once you delve into the tours and such you will get better... I think I was +45 at Q school....Slowly working my way up.....
That is what makes this place so great.... Different skill levels, trying every week to get bit better... Getting that exemption to try and make the PGA/Euro tours just to miss the cut by a couple strokes....Such a fun time..
Good luck , and keep playing/practicing, you'll get better and better...... Good post... Great game...

I was +49 in q-school, but look at me now, I've made $8,027 in the events (dammit, it's not real money) and am usually in the top 25 on Cc-E. You'll learn after a few weeks.

I was +112 in Q-School and I'm a tour better than some chump I've heard about who shot a +49.

Oh, that's no problem. I'm just happy that I've improved, so I don't care that I'm on a tour lower than you.

I'm just letting preds know that your Q-School score is no indication of where you'll end up x number of months down the line. Bill Hibbard scored a +120 back in January and he's in CC-A now.
Don't get discouraged if you hang in E for weeks or months or at some point get demoted to Z. But also don't think it isn't possible to move up the ranks quicker than you may think your Q-School score indicates you should. Just try to focus on small victories along the way like a round below par, a tournament below par, a 3 putt free round, etc. And always, always, always focus on improving your putting.

I appreciate the encouragement guys! Definitely looking forward to that first under par round! (in real life, too)

Our Bill ( Chief) looks like he's about to get a crack at the Web too! But he'll love being reminded of his Q-School score I shot +25 in Q-School and started in CC-E and have now worked my way up to Euro. It's like learning to drive, you only really start learning once you start playing for real. It's a brilliant game and this site adds such an extra dimension to it that RM PGA Golf can't touch. Talk about a Career Mode! Enjoy your journey gopreds66, wherever you end up it's a blast. My only advice is don't take it too seriously and enjoy the competition

Wagtunes completed Q-School in October 2015 with something like +80. He's in Web now.
I started the game in July 2015 and regularly shot in the 80s. I didn't join TGCT until October. Did Q-School at +7. I'm on the Euro tour now.
As you play, your game will get progressively better, and you'll move up through the ranks. A lot like real golf, the more you play and work ok not your game, the better you'll get.
Just remember: Progress is not linear. Sometimes, you'll change the way you do things, and the results will be worse before they get better.
Good luck!

This weeks tourney course The Estuary is easier than the Q-School courses, just watch out for those fairway bunkers! I managed to go -9 (72-65-74-68)
