-8,-8,-5,-7 = -28 Great course. Max I'm assuming that you're talking about Brooklime, the hardest course. If so, well played, that is a great score on that track and should be good enough to qualify. Fingers crossed! I played the "easy" course (Macgillycuddy's Perch). I'm pretty sure you can qualify with -36.

Well, I played Lions'. My goal was to break par. After a 68, 72, 72, scored 67 final round to finish 1 under.
I'm content and very happy that's over with.
I will leave it at that.

Hey webbers. There's no PGA thread for The Open Qualifiers so I hope you don't mind me crashing your party.
I played MacGilly's for practice with its firm greens and actually did decently. Unfortunately, I signed up for Lion's Bay instead and shot a -19. I don't think that's going to get me in to The Open.
Good luck on qualifying everyone!

Second Round - Lions' Bay
First 9 very windy and don't be fooled by the wet, rainy conditions. Those MotherCanucker greens are still as firm, hard and bouncy as he can legally make them and he's introduced a new word to the English language - rollforever. I'm saying no more in case I overstep the bounds of polite decency.

I'm glad I chose this one because, as with all his courses, it's superb. Very clever traps and pin positions, unfortunately far too clever for me! After last week I went in to this one with a bit of confidence but those mothercanucker greens soon knocked that out of me. Those roll offs!! And then I started missing regulation 6-8 footers, went very Pete Tong. -3 -1 -5 -5 -14 is not going to be anywhere near the top 15. Good luck to everyone else yet to go. I'll get my coat.

Jamie you miss the regulation putts because they're never straight and he gets inside your head. The same with chipping - it's equivalent to dicing with death! Anyway you've finished well under par. Be proud!

Well how I love a mother Canuck now and again! Round 1 -4 couldn't buy a putt Round 2 -4 rough conditions actually happy with that score Round 3 -11 top of ps4 for that round Going into round 4 the rumour was -20 will do but I wanted -25 which was a reachable goal @!$# the nerves got to me 3 pars a bird and a bog, five holes gone putt the pad down have a glass of water. 6,7,8 bird -3 then then 9 stuck into 8ft! Yes -4! Nooooooo -1 that is a 4 putt double bogey!!! Back 9 cop the hell on Moe!!!! Picked up 4 birds in 8 holes need 1 more. Short par 4 18th rush of blood went for the green and hit it perfect but was left with a 20ft 1ft down hill 187 green . Lag it? -25 that will do I'm in the open was all I was thinking! Then I was on the 18th tee wtf? Every round I though 17th was the 18th ffs ah sure I went and birdied that aswell -26 3rd on PS4 4 shots ahead of 4th surely that's good enough! Could be a great 30th birthday present

There should be a law against what the Lion course did to my game and confidence.

There should be a law against what the Lion course did to my game and confidence. Yeah The Mother Canucker's course's can do that to a man I seem to play well (or not as bad as others) on them.

I only played well on one of Andre's courses back in CC. It was the Alaska one. Of course I also practiced the hell out of it. Don't remember where I finished on this one. Have to look it up. Hold on. BRB....(time passes) It was 2016 Q School. I shot 1 over. Yes, that's good for me on Andre's courses. Actually, I did 1 under on Lions' so I had my first under par on a Canucker course. I take that as a major victory.

Looking like I might have a chance after 2 rounds on McGillicuddy, -18 has me in the hunt anyway. Playing my final rounds Friday.

Week 40 was going to be my favourite week on TGCT! As Sand Quentin has been selected for the PGA event and I was getting to play High Point but........ It has just got even better!!!!! Didn't realise the deadline for the first 2 rounds for the Open Qualifiers was last night ! Done my maths and I'm going to the open unless a bunch of lads hit mid 50s in round 4 . Hopefully Bunting and Per Sandbagger can hold on and some lads on the outside can squeak in! Please Golf gods don't make me eat my words!! Sorry In my excitement I forgot to congratulate talarfon who's 100% in.
