Okay. I'm a little confused. This was my first event on TGC Tours, and it says that I have a pro tour exemption available. From the sounds of it on this forum, it seems like this is a coding error? So do I still have my exemption, or no? Also, if I do have one, am I correct in saying that I can't use it for the upcoming week on the PGA/Euro because of the WGC event? (ie. the other events are secondary events, so I can't use them this week?) Use it to register for week 39 on either PGA or Euro. It was an error but it won't be revoked. Take it as a welcome present Okay thanks! This might be a dumb question, but is there an advantage to being on one tour over the other? (I noticed there are different requirements for earning your card while on exemption, so I'm just curious?)

(I noticed there are different requirements for earning your card while on exemption, so I'm just curious?) IMO, advantages? Maybe in some math kind of way when it comes to earnings and stuff like that. But really, for me, it's more a prestige thing. PGA/Euro is the elite with Web being underneath them. Personally, I have no desire to be in the PGA. The prestige of being there, for me, doesn't outweigh the nightmare of courses that you have to play through. Some of them are beyond brutal. Aside from that, you're going up against the best of the best. Unless you're one of them, expect to miss a lot of cuts or be at the bottom of the folks who do make it. Fortunately, I don't have to ever worry about PGA because I'm barely good enough to make the cut here. I've got enough to contend with in this place, thank you. It comes down to what each person wants. I'm sure most people would love to play in the PGA. Doesn't interest me in the least. But advantages? Outside of bigger money payouts and I guess points towards Ryder Cup, etc, none that I can see outside of the prestige thing. Oh, I think the machine is just shy of 10 million in earnings in Euro alone. I'm still working on my first hundred thousand. LOL.

Which ever one you pick to play your exemption on will be your primary tour should you do well enough to earn the tour card for it. But, not 100% sure myself, I think you can play on both. Obviously not on the same week. But say for example on w40 you could play the Euro event and w41 play the PGA event. Again I'm not 100% sure on that.

Thanks, hopefully do well. But in all honesty I'm not going to get my hopes up too much. I do expect to be back for w40. I think TonyDDon also got an exemption as well, so best of luck to him also. Might get my w39 rounds done later, it's a busy day today for sport. Taking on France at 2pm then just after that the Dublin match is on. An exemption lol, nice glitch then, best of luck north with the exemption, just as well as I played very bad in my web rounds yesterday, it's getting thin on the Irish front on the web tour, would be nice for us 4 to move up for season 3, Thanks Tony, good luck to yourself also. Yeah be great if we could all make it up there.....the invasion of the Irish hahaha.

Whichever of you choose the Euro tour I'll see you at the Scottish Open next week Although after the way I just stunk up Lions Bay I can't say I'm feeling too confident..

Even with a disappointing final round I still got a T-26, my highest since early much. Hopefully I'm on a roll now! Yeah Giraffe72, my qualifying went badly too!!!

Well, it appears I encountered some bad luck. Every so often my internet connection will go out for brief periods of time. It happens when I'm playing sometimes, but I usually regain connection momentarily and all is good. This time I lost connection on the 17th/18th hole during Round 4. I finished my round and didn't think anything of it. I must have closed TGC before I regained connection because I got disqualified from the event for TGCT not being able to find my Round 4 score in the API.
There goes my -40 and an exemption! Oh well. Not a big deal. I'll get it soon enough.

Notice you've made a good start to this week's event. PGA calling? And BayouBengals, that's really bad luck mate. Similar thing happened to me when I was in CC-A, took a DQ on a glitch when I was well placed. I went out in a rage the following week and won!

The conditions were brutal and I shot 1 over. I doubt I'll finish high enough for an exemption.
