Hey Guys! Thanks for putting up with the whiny old me. I know i can be a complete ass sometimes (well all the time) but i have decided that i will be taking a break from this game and tours for the foreseeable future. Some people will probably welcome that and i don't blame you to be honest. The problem is with me is that i expect too many good things from myself. I expect a win every week and i know that is not realistic at all but i am a perfectionist and if i am not perfect at something or the best then i am not happy. This has continued to grind my gears ever since i started playing on tour.
I just don't see myself getting any better either. I miss shorter putts regularly which is my biggest annoyance on this game currently and well there is other things but i wont ramble on about those.
Well actually i may play TGC occasionally to maybe play a few rounds but nothing more.
Thanks, Dan
Sometimes taking a break from the rut (even if it is a game) is a good thing. Sometimes gameplay can become intense, wanting to achieve a certain level or whatnot, to win the round or tourney, or obtain some self-imposed goal. It comes with the terrain of competition, regardless of how harmless it may look. Sometimes it becomes frustrating. At times, a person may be able to plow through it, while at other moments, they just need to step away from it all. No foul. No harm. Have a drink and smoke a cigarette.
As for someone making an announcement in regards to leaving the tour (or leaving whatever they are participating in), who really cares if they make the “adieu announcement”. There is more than enough dribble posted on this goddamn forum (I know, since I have posted tons of worthless ramblings). Someone making an “adieu announcement” isn’t going to make much difference. Sure, maybe the person is trying to garner some attention, but isn’t that what we all are doing each and every time we post some comment on this (or any forum). If someone is openly saying “so long” to everyone, then that’s cool. At least I get a chance to say “bye-bye” (if I know the person….if I don’t know them, uh, well….oh hell, I don’t have any goddamn answer). Maybe they are trying to solicited a response from others? So what. We all have done it. Maybe not here at this particular forum, but we all have done it. Sure, if someone is always doing it, then you kick the in the ass and tell them to @!$# off, but the occasional gasp for attention should be expected by everyone, since we all do it as well.
Even though iChaoz XD is not part of my primary group here at TGC Tours, he is still part of my secondary group. Therefore, allow me to offer a treatment program to iChaoz XD for his golfing despondency. It is a program that I created with the help of Dr. Herbert Frykowski of the Heligine Institute. Putting this program into use will help any individual when he/she are in the fits of gloom or despair over the golfing performance.
The “Make Me Giggle Over Golf Again” Program:
1. Complete 4 hours of yoga prior to starting the tournament. You must wear skin tight lycra spandex yoga pants when doing this, the kind of yoga pants that would make you feel embarrassed if you started sweating a lot.
2. During gameplay, begin doing shooters of the cheapest vodka you can find. For every birdie and above, do a shooter. For every par, do two shooters. For bogeys and more, just swig from the goddamn bottle.
3. At the end of the tournament, if you shoot under par, reward yourself with an ice cream sandwich.
I never said two words to iChaoz XD before. We definiately aren't in the same league (since I'm one of the shittiest golfers on TGC Tours), but I bid you farewell. Winnie the Pooh said it best when he said, “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”. Such wise words from that fat, furry son-of-a-b%&. I wish you well, Mr. iChaoz XD. May your travels lead you safely to your destinations. If you return, we shall welcome you once again with open arms.
The “Make Me Giggle Over Golf Again” Program has been approved by the @wagtunes corporation.
