Your Honor, members of opposing counsel, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, thank you for allowing me this moment to express my thoughts regarding this matter. Your patience can never be given enough appreciation. (huge post snipped) Well, I did say " respectfully deliberate against opposing counsel's statement" (not really a huge post snippet). But if you want to go in the "load of sh%$" direction instead....well then.... (I did make sure it was Johnny Cash though)

You have to have thick skin to be a tournament course designer This a million times over. If a designer gets a tourney, there's going to be something negative said at some point. It's a Internet forum people don't have to be accountable for what they say, so someone may get a little harsh. I'm sure most designers do it for their enjoyment and not the accolades (at least I do), but it is a little ridiculous when courses get singled out in something like this. The people putting in crazy amounts of their spare time building courses make the game better and sometimes people should remember that before getting overly critical. I'm sure that wasn't the intent here, but just my 2 cents on the matter as a whole. looking forward to next week on the euro.

One way to look at it though with the pin tucking is to purposely miss the green just onto the fringe 4 to 6 yards away... makes for an easy chip in birdie. posted -9 in one of my practice rounds which I was pretty proud of. Good luck to everyone this week!

* note to self: cliffs all the way around the greens with horrible, massive drop offs just off the fringe just for Jason.

Near the short side of the pin that runs off into the bunkers This, especially if you go 1 inch past the hole, the slope will take it right in to the bunker and if you fail to get into the grid with the hole, it will roll back into the other bunker. Don't forget this!

You have to have thick skin to be a tournament course designer ... and to post on this forum! I tend to agree with the OP in that I don't enjoy lots of the tucked pins just on the front of the green. Too often they become chip-fests. Ironically I thought the OP's example of the Nomad on the recent Web tour was just as guilty of this (well at least in rounds 1 & 2 as I missed the cut ).

I've played a few greens that felt like that ... LOL It is okay, just aim a little left and it will roll down, not into the bunker but 4 yards away into the rough. Easy bird.
