xraylucy woke this morning and checked the leaderboard to find we're still 3 shots inside the cut line. Nice pleasant surprise, there is still some slim hope for us to cling onto. lollybear1 I think you might just make it with your -17. I hope at least one of us on exemption can make the cut. The next 48 hours are going to feel like forever, or at least until that projected cut line moves north and puts us out of our misery. I think we've got a good shot now. I already celebrated by playing the 3rd round. After shooting -9 in practice I shot a -4. My eagle on the 1st is the most beautifull hole out I ever made in this game. Hope you recorded it Raymond and added it to your scorecard. I'll be playing 3&4 tomorrow whether I make the cut or not

I haven't dared to play Round 3 yet - I don't want to tempt fate!! Once I know that mathematically I am in, then I think I will feel able to do so. I haven't quite earned the privilege yet. It is becoming a bit repetitive though that I am checking the leaderboard and doing the calculations EVERY 5 MINUTES!!!!! (I think I'm at a worst case 73rd at the moment) The stress of it all. You're on -17 right? I'm sure you will get your web card. For me and Hootbleet am also positive, 80% positive Now on worst case 72nd!!

-8 3rd round, should of been at least -10 or -11 missed a few putts by less than an inch, lipping out, oh well still solid score in that wind.
Probably the funniest part about this round is I streamed it on twitch and forgot to turn stream off before I left for work, so my stream has been on for about 5 hours an 4 of those hours are no gameplay lol

I had a feeling I would struggle on round 2. Although I only parred the first 2 holes I was happy enough to be -2 after 4. Then 3 pars followed and it was starting to look tight again. Disaster struck on 8. I had a short chip from the rough but it never stopped, it rolled all the way down to the lower tier. I 3 putted for a double. Never mind difficult, this was going to be almost impossibe. I started the back 9 with 3 birdies and my chances were back to evens. Another chip would cost cost me on the 13, this time only a bogey. It was enough to think I had blown it. 2 birdies followed, I was now right on the line. 3holes left, one birdie enough to make it through, 1 bogey enough to ruin my chances. I went par and par. It was all down to the last hole. I hit the tee-shot in the rough. No way to make the green. Again, I though I had blown my chances. I managed to pitch it close enough to make the par putt. -4 for the round. That was tough! Well it's about time "The dynamic cut line" made a return and here I am.

Awful round 3. Putts would not drop on the first 9, bogeys crept in. I really struggle with these greens. If this is a small taste of the Euro tour then I'm dreading it. -2 including a chip in on the 18th.

Round 4 was probably the most frustrating I've had in a long time. When you're down this game and this course kicks you in the teeth. If it wasn't bad enough to quadruple the 4th I then went on to have numerous lip out, unexplained jumps over holes, great shots turning into terrible ones by an unlucky bounce and just general awful play. I just can't play firm courses with no green to work with, especially when what's behind the hole is treacherous slope after treacherous slope. I'm not blaming the designer, it's a great course but on this day and in this mood I'm ready to pack the whole thing in.
Don't worry guys, I'll be fine in the morning. (As I hear a big cheer turn to groans!!)

I find that I can barely concentrate on my shots for more than 2-3 rounds... especially when the 3rd or 4th round is a sunday round with some tricky pins. Although I get it as I am sometimes short on time for the week and have to bang out the rounds in one sitting, but if you do have the time it may be something to think about. Edit: Spelling

(As I hear a big cheer turn to groans!!) You won't be the only casualty on Sunday buddy I had the most frustrating Sunday had a couple of hole hopes and 2 lip outs one was a 3 footer on 18 I hurt my foot and woke my daughter soon after ! I won't tell you my score cause we will fall out but if the putt on 18 dropped it would of been a 67. Also round 3 was -8 including a bogey after knocking my pad to the floor reaching for my vaporiser and the floor taking a 20% flop shot on 13 and me missing the 12 foot putt. So -30 this week 12 shots away from MVS so won't be good enough for my first top 10 just hope I don't miss by 1 I'll be really pissed

Cmon -16, Beanie needs more virtual cash and a shoe sponsorship! I also might need a new caddie due to, let's just say "creative putting differences".

Round 3 I was - 8 which i was happy reasonable happy with.
Round 4 I ran down the slope on the 1st hole failed to putt it up the slope, missed the next and ended up taking 7 after what should have been a simple 4. I managed to avoid making things much worse even though i was steaming and got round in +4 so i played the last 17 holes in +1
Conditions in round 4 with the pins as well as the high winds up there with the toughest i have played on the game. Whilst im annoyed i messed up on the last 18, I'm pretty chuffed i made the cut. It's now given me a tonne of confidence to hopefully kick on.

Watcher of the Watchers Report 21 Hours Remaining
Busy night for me last night so got no time for updates but im back now With 25 Watchers still to finish there rounds on the Tye Dunes including scampi00 , The board is alot clearer now Watchersafezone is at -16 a 2 shot swing since I was last on so welcome to web lollybear1 , xraylucy , and Hootbleet brings new webbers number up to 4 for the week with lisared1987 still to tee off the safe presumption would be that will rise to a handful before the deadline. -15 is 52% up 3% and The Dynamic Cutline is back in play dh-nufc I think they will make it but when Dean is in danger anything can happen! -14 is 30% down 10% See's 15 players looking over there shoulders for the stampede of Watchers. I think its inevitable they will be cut but stranger things have happend on watchers day -13 and worse are cut

Bases on the reports from other players, conditions are going to get tougher over the next couple of days. My goal each week is just to make the cut, now that's done, it's time to pick up shots when the can and see how high up the leaderboard I can finish. A good approach on the first brought a positive start, always good to start with a birdie, need to avoid anything silly over the next few holes to keep that going. I found the fairway with my tee shot on the second but trees were blocking my route to the hole. I tried to use the wind to play around them but my aim was way off and ended up in the heavy rough which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I had a good lie which meant I could put the ball close enough for birdie. When I saw the pin position on three, par was my goal, the idea of three birdies in a row went out the window. My tee shot was not good, I left my ball high on the slope with vicious break, I aimed my putt around ninety degrees right of the cup and softly hit my putt in the hope the slope will bring my ball within par distance. It was a great putt, stopping just two feet past the hole, very pleased with that par. I used draw to counteract the wind on my approach on four, a shot that can be hit or miss for me, this time it was a hit stopping just eight feet past the hole and birdie number three. A poor par followed, very disappointed not to pick up a shot on five, a terrible flop shot left me so short that birdie was not possible, a shot left behind me there. Six was another tricky hole, I had a chip for my third shot but fast moving red lines meant I had to be accurate or the ball kind end up rolling to the front of the green, I played the shot well, leaving a short putt for par. I dropped a shot on seven, poor shots all round, my approach was a little unlucky with the bounce it got but a terrible chip and worse putt brought the bogey those shots deserved. My approach on eight was agonisingly close to being good, the ball hit the rough before the green bounced on the green and stopped dead, a inch or two more and it would have rolled down the slope towards the cup, instead a nasty downhill putt that I was happy to lag close for par. I took a unnecessary risk on nine and played for distance on nine, I found a bunker, I could not find the fairway from there and was in deep trouble. I made the green with my third but so far from the hole that dropping one shot would be a good result. I managed to get the ball close enough to make bogey, although, maybe double bogey would have thought me a lesson, then again maybe not. One under at the turn, should have been better but strangely enough was enjoying myself out there.
I dropped another shot on ten but down to bad luck more than bad play, a unlucky bounce, stopping in a awkward place and a lip out that sent my ball rolling well away from the hole. A good par on eleven on a difficult hole, again a unlucky bounce had my ball stop at the bottom of a slope with hard to read lines, my birdie putt was not good but made up for that coming back with my par putt. I stopped the rot with birdie on twelve, pretty straightforward hole but still good to see a yellow number. A bounce finally went my way on thirteen, the par threes have proved challenging today so picking up a birdie on one felt good, my ball hit the rough before the green and stopped eight feet from the hole, a chance I made sure I took. Why oh why did I not lay up on fourteen, my play to play short and roll onto the green worked to well, my ball hit every slope and curve to roll one hundred and eleven feet away and then stopped inches on the green while I was praying for it to roll off. I had no idea what to do, where to aim, how hard to hit, it was all guess work. I guessed wrong, my next putt was seventy five feet, still with guess work involved, my third putt was just fifteen feet, no guesswork this time, still missed and another dropped shot, fantastic hole that I got so wrong. My short birdie putt on fifteen was a anticlimax after the previous hole. Back to a red number on sixteen, I nearly holed out from the bunker, then my ball rolled and rolled, just could not make it coming back. The back nine roller coaster ride continued on seventeen with a great birdie putt, it was not overly long but had heavy break and a rarely successful hook putt brought me to two under and that's how it stayed after a boring par on the last.
That was a blast, I really enjoyed the challenge of round three. I played well at times, seven birdies but the course caught me out for five bogeys. Here's the thing, not a single one of those dropped shots could be called unfair, bad course management from me and a course so well designed that good shots are rewarded and poor shots punished brought a round that felt real. It was fun, as simple as that. I am looking forward to the harder round four now, god help me.
