Are you still recovering from St Patrick's Day Brian? I gave myself a cheeky run to the semis, but that's because I had a head vs heart conflict with a potential match up vs James Morgan. I agree with your thinking though, there will be a few surprises. Ur playin well enough to hav a gud run, I think it will open up for a few ppl with a few surprise results. If there were odds on this event I think id hav the favourite (Ian) at about 6/1....its wide open IMO. I wouldn't have no 1 at single digits price to many gd players and over 1 round anything can happen

Iv gone for the top 5/6 to be all knocked out quite early. Think the course will produce alot of random results, so iv gone with this. Are you still recovering from St Patrick's Day Brian? I gave myself a cheeky run to the semis, but that's because I had a head vs heart conflict with a potential match up vs James Morgan. I agree with your thinking though, there will be a few surprises. I had the same thought on our hypothetical matchup. Whilst I've been playing well, you've gone that step further! Gotta get past Marco first anyway. I don't seem to do well in Matchplay on here, my opponents always have a blinder.

I've added the standings to the OP. I'll be pretty busy until Wednesday, so updates might be a bit sporadic before then. Good luck to everyone!

Standings through the first two rounds are updated! I've included per round point totals to the right of everyone's name (in the format (R1 pts, R2 pts)). Please let me know if your score is off -- I tried to be careful, but it's entirely possible that I made at least one mistake.
Also, I just realized that I can earn only 4 more points in the whole competition, and that's if I win my R3 match over Paulo Garcia. Every single other person I picked is out now. I did a good job.

Standings through round 3 are updated! I've also included the number of possible points each player still has a chance of earning, to give you a better idea of how things could shake out in the final seven matches.

Standings are, once again, current. As far as I can tell, only three players -- Kram, macdaddy, and SwAero -- still have a hope of winning the contest. Nic and I, on the other hand, have a 100% chance of finishing in the basement and ultimately regretting the life choices that led us to such bad prognostication.

The WGC tourney may not be quite done yet, but this side event is: no one picked Brian May or Chris Nelson to make the championship match, so no points were earned in round 5. So congrats to @swaeromotion on winning the TGCT bracket challenge!!! Thanks again to everyone who participated! I hope you had fun and will choose to play again next year.

Woohoo! More wins here than I got in the actual tournament. LOL
Seriously, thanks for running this. Was fun to fill out the TGCT bracket.
