Finished the PGA last night and figured I'd give your event a go to see what you were up against. Really enjoyed this drive! Shot 10-under in R1 and thought the course was very nice.

I crossed over from the PGA this week, my first time of doing so. I played one practise round on Sat and really liked this course. My first round was a 59, I thought my ball striking was better than my stats suggest, but I did chip in 3x. I haven't played any other rounds yet.
Good luck everyone!!!

Firstly, Congratulations to Tony on his wonderful news of becoming a Daddy for the second time I Just finished about half an hour ago. I shot 57,65,57,59 for a -46 total. Very happy with the overall score, my goal was to beat -10 per round as I know that you can get some wicked bounces around here! Plus I've finished lower than Ian for a change, that's a feat in itself, even though he had an off week he still posted a pretty good total I'm still angry with my second round 65, which will probably cost me in the end. I went out of bounds on the 2nd, costing me a bogey on a hole that was playing so easily. Although I made an eagle on the 8th, nothing else would go right for me! The other 3 rounds were very good, round 4 should have been lower. I had 3 very good chip in chances inside 8 yards at the end of the round, only one of which I made, the other two just skirted by. Twice during that round I played short approaches which just pulled up inches before the cup! Round three started off perfectly, I holed out on the monster par four 7th for a very lucky eagle I thought that the course was very good, up there with the best links courses in the game. Some of the holes were pretty devious, forcing you into making tough decisions. Good luck to everybody still to go out or to finish

No time for practice this week and played an awful first 9 holes. Kind of got things going reasonably well over the next 18 until I sliced my approach on 11 OB and posted a triple bogey 7. After that, I stopped caring and finished up with a 68 and 66. Really hoping -8 misses the cut. I hit my first drive in Round 3 OB, and I really don't feel like taking much more of this abuse.

Absolutely gutted I will miss the cut on this one :-( Round 1 -5 Round 2 -2 I was -4 thru 10 holes and was playing decent until 81% O.B second shot then O.B ten mph cross wind adjusted slightly but not too much looked like a decent shot and the wind didn't take it, then a big kick right into the O.B again. FFFFFFFFFFFFEEEEEECCCCCCKKKKK QUADRUPLE BOGEY tournament over thank you very much back to Even par, kept fighting to make the cut at -5 I had to birdie 5 out of 8 holes as I set the cut at -10.I managed 3 and a bogey over a liar break putt and finished -7 :-( I didn't even play that bad, gutted but that's life. Good luck everyone hopefully you all fair better especially my brother feng187 up on exemption this week :-)

Up on exemption this week and I think I blew it, great course and I had a lot of fun but some of the bounces are wicked! Nice and steady -8 for the first round, was feeling pretty good so I just dove straight into 2 and had a really topsy turvy one, got to -3 after 6 I think then it just went downhill... My personal 'highlight' of Rd 2 was hitting my second shot on one of the par 3's to my delight right at the base of the pin, was sure it was heading straight in, then it decided to hit just above the hole and violently spin back 30 ft.... Bogey. Then on the last hole I forgot to change the loft on the ball and overhit into the bunker making an easy par a bogey. Two really stupidly dropped shots is probably gonna cost me a card Rd 1: -8 Rd 2: -2 -10.. Fml

Back on the EUR-train... and while my first two rounds didn't totally go the way I wanted them, they still felt much better than the last 2-3 weeks. Especially under those tricky course- & wind-conditions.
Rd1: 63 (-8) Rd2: 64 (-7)
The fact that I can not constantly sink those <12ft-chips keep me from going lower on such a course I guess. I think I had just one chip-in over two rounds (with a GIR of ~70%). So that's definitely something I need to improve on. I'm just not sure how to practice that.

Up on exemption here this week and hoping to hang around and just make the cut, found it very difficult to score in round 1 but was scrambling pretty well until I played short of the green on a par 3 and got a soft bounce and just trickled onto the green leaving a 70+ft putt downhill that I had no chance of stopping, plodded around and missed a few putts after that and had another bogey on 16, clawed a par on 17 and birdied 18 to salvage a -3. Played much better rd 2 and went for everything trying to make the cut, burnt the edge with a few putts too but shot -8 in the end. R1 -3 R2 -8 Will -11 make the weekend, hard to say but I hope so, suppose I'll have to wait for the lurkers and watchers to seal my fate on Thursday ;-)

I'd eat my cat if -11 wouldn't make the weekend.
Really good score for somebody on exemption (on such a tough setup).
