Theme doesn't matter, but think traditional links style courses - name some of your favourites! (playable in-game)

Well... I'm going fictional here.
1. The Breakers Delta themed course that could easily have said to be inspired by the course I'm currently a member of. No links or Highlands themed courses come close to the breakers in terms of the links feel. On top of this it's one of the best courses in the game.
2. Shougleith This may be second to the breakers in terms of feel, but this plays like a proper links course.
3. Lions bay In many ways this has the same feel as Shougleith and is properly underrated amongst Andrés courses. Even if it's one of his fastest productions I'd say it's one of his best.
4. Tye Dunes I don't get that real links feel from this course but man is it good and the fact that it remotely looks like a links course makes me want to add it to my list.
5. The one Rod made. Can't remember the name of it right now. B something. Sorry Rod

Ok, I've heard this phrase several times now and am finally going to ask: what is a "links-style" course?

Ok, I've heard this phrase several times now and am finally going to ask: what is a "links-style" course? Course built on links land. Near the sea. No trees. Rugged, firm, fast. Typically deep pot bunkers, although some have waste bunkers. Greens tend to be open fronted so the ball can be run on. Think Open Championship. Don't think Pebble Beach. My favourites (in no particular order): Balwearie, Muirfield, Ballylough, Chambers Bay.

Lots of bunkers, lots of bumps/mounds, lots of tall grass, fast/firm fairways and greens. Oh and the one thing out of everyone's control, both in game and real life....... WIND

Also, to be just that little bit more helpful, here are some pictures of my nearest tour stop, which happens to be a links.

All the yeltzmans and CLV's Chambers are in a different league to the rest. Outside of that Shougleith I feel in love with after only a couple of holes and selected it straight away but someone asked me for a perfect Euro stop then robbed it on me . On a side note I having my first go at a full on Links course due for completion end of March (but ill probably stop before 9 holes as I have done with 4 courses already and not publish it!!)

Lytham/Birkdale/Troon/Muirfield/Chambers Bay for real courses. Probably give the edge to Birkdale.
Royal Ballylough hands down for fictional.

Some real good RCR links courses out there, like almost all of them, but I'm always a fan of seeing what the designers on this game have cooked up. Don't think these courses are exactly traditional links but absolutely love Borthwick Bay at McKinney Highlands and Killarney and both fall somewhere within the links realm.
