lol You said the same thing I thought when I saw it, since we are all friendly with each other and post a lot, the only one missing was the 4'th Muskateer. Jim The Three Muskateers or should that be "Bandidos!" Well done guys - this is moving month!

Attention Roberto BusattoImportantI see in Steam you changed your username there as well as the forum.. You need to go to the main page www.tgctours.com/Click your name at the top right and edit profile and change to your new Steam name. Thats why your scorecard isnt showing. If it doesn't show at the top of the next hour after you change it contact the commish. I've seen your Final scores in the tournament and would hate to see anything go wrong.

Well, here is where I am and what the situation looks like. It is not promising.
I just setup another tour for this one, CCw18 2.
I absolutely shot as well as I could, concentrating, taking my time, doing my very best and shot 28 under. I was very consistent shooting -6, -8, -7, -7.
That's it. That's as good as it gets for me on this course.
Okay, let's put this in perspective against the field.
In D Class, based on early returns, this would put me at the very bottom of the pack if I even shot this well, which is really good for me. In E class, this would put me in the middle of the field.
So I'll be back in E Class next week.
Most likely, it's going to be a ping-pong season for me. This will be my 2nd Sponsor's Exemption and 2nd time I'll be back in E. I guess I'm kind of on that fringe right now. I'm close to being D caliber but not quite.
At my age (I'm 58) I doubt my game is going to get any better than it is now. I don't have the coordination I had when I was 21.
At least now I can relax. I know my limitations and it's cool. I'll play to stay out of Z. That's my goal. If I achieve my goal, I'll be happy.
I'll leave the winning and moving up to the younger folks.

Wag, you have to remember that on most of these greens, its near flat around the flag and the greens are slowish so theres not much roll unless you are hitting in with a long iron or wood. thats what i did and was hitting it within 10 feet on most of the 72 holes. Also if you can aim to get the ball under the hole on the more sloped greens, you will give yourself a chance. If you think the ball will spin when you hit up to the flag, maybe switch to a pitch shot, less spin and stick them close. I used the lob and pitch to great effect on this course, i almost holed out for eagle multiple times. Dont knock yourself, when you started, you sucked and struggled to get par, now your getting nice scores, all it comes down to is refining your short game, if you can get good at the pitch and lob and yes even the chip for those tricky fringe shots, you could get up to C one day.

See Jay, this is where people like you, who have actually real knowledge of golf, have an advantage over me. I have no clue what the physical difference is, in spin or anything else, between a pitch, flop or whatever. I only know distance to the pin and what the club says it will hit at full power. I can adjust loft for in between shots but that's about as far as my knowledge goes. For me to get within several feet of the pin on every shot, I would need to learn the game or at the very least study the effects of each club and shot.

I played this course in a tourny a while back and i was dire, was all over the place and dropped lots of shots and lately ive had an issue with myself about slow greens, its cost me but my feel kicked in and at the mo im sitting 11th in CC-A, at least i know i will have a chance to gain wgr points for once rather than dropping so much as i have lately so this is a positive week for me. If still get that 3rd strike, i will go down to B knowing i went down swinging rather than with a whimper and give myself something to build on down there. A few more good scores have been added to C but i think the 3 of you are still top 5.

Hey Jay, you're not going to believe this (Hell, I don't believe it) but I just gave the Thursday setup one more try and shot 12 under. I still have to get closer to the pin on a lot of these shots but I made some great putts. We'll see how it goes when I go live.

I can adjust loft for in between shots but that's about as far as my knowledge goes. For me to get within several feet of the pin on every shot, I would need to learn the game or at the very least study the effects of each club and shot. Wagtunes, the pitch and flop are best for the short range shots into the green and the main difference is that with the flop, the more you add loft, the more spin is added so if you are short of a green and the pin is on a slope heading towards you then when the ball lands it will check up and spin towards you, the more loft and steeper the slope, the faster that little tyke will motor towards you which i assure you can spin you off a green in no time, since its cost me alot of shots till i practiced more with the pitch shot, which is lower and can still spin on occasions but in most cases can run forward a bit and if you practice, you will see you can hit some great shots with it. I would say, set up a dummy hole in the creator and practice your pitching into a flag above you from rough, bunker and fairway and you will get much better at it. One example was i hit a weak shot into the 9th at magnolia, which you dont want to do, it caught the slope and spun off. I was left with a tricky steep uphill shot and tried a flop, (this was ages ago), well lets say it caught that slope and ran allllllll the way back to me. A pitch would have been the safe route and i might have saved par. So keep an eye on those slopes before you choose. Nice 1st round, keep it up. i missed 5 birds in a row in that round, and left tap ins at the beginning of the back 9 or would have done as good as you all.

Oh, that round was still practice. I haven't gone live yet. I'm waiting to see how more the scores look. My 2nd practice round I shot 8 under so I'm 20 under through 2. Would hate to think that 40 under wouldn't be enough to earn my D card but the way these guys are shooting, it's a definite possibility.

Thanks for the tips Jay. In CC-A its looking like it will be another high score. I was 11th earlier, now at last check in tied 20th Jay, I picked up a new XBox controller today. This time an XBox 1. The difference is night and day. Now I see that I have been playing with a terribly worn controller. How I was able to shoot straight with it is a miracle. Once I get used to this new one (and the new technique that I have to use) and once I fine tune those last aspects of my game, I think I'll finally make it to the next level. At the very least, so far in my testing, I don't have to worry about those shots that I pull into the next hole. Some shots still are off by a bit, but nothing next to what I was seeing with the old controller. It's smooth and easy with this one and I can concentrate more on the "math" than just trying to hit the ball straight.
