In future, please remember us people who don't have time to play the game a million times to find the one place, the size of a small coin, where you need to try to land the ball on to get anywhere within 25 feet of the hole, especially without lofting ridiculously as well. I don't think that's the purpose of a practice round, that would be useless. Different winds, different clubs, different lofts would yield drastically different results. Anybody doing that would be in for a huge disappointment. Practice rounds IMHO are for looking for danger zones, areas to avoid, good sides to the pin and trying to commit those to memory. I could be wrong, I have never won squat and I'm likely doing it all wrong though, but I could not imagine even if I found the so called spot 1 day, it would be the right spot even an hour later, actually I would think it highly unlikely it would be the right spot. But to each their own, I'm sure you have based your knowledge and statement on fact and that is what people are doing, I wonder if those same people are seeing much benefit to that though. I'd be interested to hear from some if that works, I have the time and patience for just such an activity and if it works, then what the hay, why not.

R2 64 (-6) and a probable missed cut at -10. I'm not even gonna speak about how many side sloped 10-13 footer I have misread......

ROUND 1 - 69 (-1) couldn't get anything going, was fortunate to finish up under par ROUND 2 - 59 (-11) played pretty solid, reasonably happy
-12 thru two rounds & most likely borderline cut.

69 62 65 67 (-17) total.. Disastrous tourney for me this week.. Got off to a slow start to R1 but had recovered slightly till a sloppy approach on 18 led to a double bogey.. R2 I went in frustrated after a poor opening round. In the damp conditions I managed what i can only describe as an average 62 in easier conditions..R3 n R4 I played some good golf but got no rewards good to see tougher wind conditions in R3, enjoyed it... R4 I did just about ok til a few silly mistakes AGAIN dampened the round overall..I lost count the amount of times I tapped in for par which again emphasises the difference between an average round and a very good round being very little sometimes.such fine margins.. Overall I enjoyed the challenge this course presented, especially in the higher winds.. Really looks like a great replica of birkdale in my view..naturally enough the wind made it a more testing setup..Felt the balance of wind throughout the 4 rds was a lot better than in previous weeks. When my 1st rd went horribly wrong I lost focus gradually.. One bad error on a course like this and you could be made to pay for it by dropping shots and I made a number of silly basic errors as a result Overall bad week for me but there's always next week to try and bounce back! Good luck to all of you yet to start up this tourney and well done to those of you who are scoring well thus far... P.s I partiallty blame Mr Garcia for my dismissal showing this week. Talk about jinxing a man

Not had my blood boil like this in a long long time. Played well for 2 and half rounds tee to green but suffered with the putter. Then rushed throught the rest a little. I know we all miss putts but i missed over 20 putts within half a cup and about 5 chips the same. That starts to grind me down. I would of been better off if most of them missed by a foot as it does not upset me half as much. Shot -27 total. Thats me not on the forums for a full week lol.

I have played my third round as well and shot 68 but waiting to see if I've made the cut before playing round 4 Having a go at the TST this week as well because of where it's at, not expecting much though.

Well, IF I make the cut (and that's a HUGE IF sitting at -10 after 2 rounds), I could end up in the TOP 20 I think. Finished 62 (-8) and 66 (-4) the last two; 22 under for the tourney. So, thank myself for have possibly screwed up!
