I bet a lot on golf, tend to do OK. Gutted I didnt back Koepka each/way last week at 20/1. Looked at a few yesterday for the Sony Open but got sidetracked. Missed the boat for six places now, d'oh. Was thinking Wilcox, Henley, Blair. Gonna have a quick check of scorecard and odds and see what I can muster. EDIT: Sod it, just had a quick look and gone for Grillo 22/1 (started well), English 35/1, Berger 45/1. Complete change from what I said and a bit of late spontaneity but feck it. Blair was a great call bud even if he don't win probably makes top5
im hoping sneads can pull this 1 out

Great start to the golf season for me, Haydn Porteous is your Joburg champ and at a juicey price of 140/1 which has banked me £850. Well played Haydn. Now...... Can snedeker pull it off.

How'd you find that guy - Joe? Great pick! Well to start with, Haydn has played well on the sunshine tour the past few years, i think he might of won around 4 tournaments last season and was consistent all round on all parts of his game. Now the main reason i picked him is because of last weeks winner Brandon Stone. Stone winning the SA Open would of given Porteous a big confidence boost because not too long ago Porteous beat Stone in a playoff for a tournament on the sunshine tour, and by seeing someone he has beaten in the past to go on and win a European Tour event he would of obviously be telling himself he can have a slice of the European Tour pie for himself, and where would his best opportunity come? South Africa of course, where he has played the majority of his golf so far.

But he has one of those faces you would love to punch. Glad he didn't win now although I'm gutted Sneds didn't win for you.

Ill back Thistlecrack (5/4) in a double with Min (4/6) in the novices chase at Leopardstown now. Not a great price but its all i got now.
