My first week at my new home CC-A. Im nervous to start. Just shot -40 in a practice tour. I think the blue tees set up was the hardest. Anyone got wind updates yet?

Managed to get a nice -18 in round one... Let's just say I did not maintain that form throughout :/

1st round was a doddle, short a -13 and was disappointed with some missed putts. It wouldn't surprise me to see a -19/-20 if someone strings every hole together. Some real short par 5's with the wind.

i started good after practicing my putting and practicing the 3 versions here and got -12,-7,-9,-3 in round 2 nothing went right, approaches stopped above the hole leaving nasty putts, hit some dire approaches. In round 3 I was struggling, just like round 2 then hit 8 straight birds then birdied 18 for -9. In the last round, i was close to walking, the wind didnt push some of the shots like it should and on other holes i just couldnt judge the wind. I got a couple of lucky birds at the end to finish -3 but gutted, wanted to try for top 30, think thats gone now. in practice i shot -14 on white, -14 on the plain one thats used for 2 and 4 and -7 for blue. At least i got my best ever 1st round on tour and bettered my best on blue.

-46 for me. Course was harder for the last two rounds but my approach play was shocking, average putt length felt about 20 foot in the 3rd round.

Hey guys New to cca after squeezing a win in q school in cc b, although I was in the original a and web b before the great shuffle chucked me down to b and struggling to get good enough scores on the board, but after working on my swing and doing my homework on lofts and rollouts I feel I can finally mix with the best in cc, I hope to be here for a while at least I shot a terrible! -11 with a hole in one on 16 but couldn't capitalize on 17 and 18 :(I didn't think it was a bad score at the time but I then saw a few -15 and -18 eek! Lol, but my score improved a tad on the next hole and managed a -12 but then came round 3 and I struggled big time with a few miss timed shots and burnt edges, was very frustrating indeed! But on roundabout 4 has been a turnaround so far, I managed to get to -4 after 4 holes before the sun light disappeared, let's hope the groove doesn't disappear tho, I'm currently -33 thru 4 in round 4 I hope to get at least -38 and maybe a top ten finish, fingers and everything else crossed. Thanks, And Good luck guys.

Just finished up all of my rounds. Finished -48 total. Left a lot out there, but I can't complain too much.

Just finished up all of my rounds. Finished -48 total. Left a lot out there, but I can't complain too much. Yep, I know what you mean. I had four putts on the last round alone which stopped on the lip of the hole. I was missing so many putts on the 3rd round I just went with my instincts on the 4th round and sank loads more. I'll use that philosophy from now on

I'll use that philosophy from now on Ya, I have started to hit more aggressive putts from 10-15 feet out and have started to make a lot more of them, rather than trying to play the perfect speed and break. I was always worried about having 5 feet coming back if I missed, but realized 5 foot putts on this game aren't all that difficult.

welcome rob and i would say, aim for -40 or better for top 10. Naldy, When i putt like you describe, it never seems to stop within 5ft from the hole, more like around 10 and with a slope to the side, the main cause of bogies for me, I just cant judge the break and power on them, end up either going long or leaving a tricky putt inside 6ft with the lines going fast to the side. End up with many lip outs
