I though I'd show you my last 2 rounds in video seen as they are so rare. Clip 1 shows how close you can be between success and failure, one shot just hitting the bunker and then the flop just missing the hole. Clips 2 and 3 are so close but no cigar Clip 4 was a pitch shot which should have dropped. Clip 5 was all about the putter, it ruined round 3. How many putts did I take? Watch to find out. i can't share on my iPad, check my channel, I will link tomorrow. My warm up before round 3 was great. It looks like I've made the cut and confidence was sky high. Unfortunately my swing had gone, nothing to do with the update, I just couldn't hit it straight! I struggled for the first few holes but kept in there. I was -2 going To the 8th. That's when clip 5 happened. Round ruined and although play improved I was too far gone. I finished a disappointing -4, the first badly played round of the week. Round 4 was much better and although not spectacular, a -8 with those tricky pin positions was a good round. I did have an annoying 3 putt bogey but overall it was good. If I make the cut then round 3 will see me plumit right to the bottom. Hopefully round 4 will take me up a little. I was pleased to be able to play 4 rounds thinking they most probably will count (Was it 71% chance of making the cut?) The last competitive round before Christmas is out of the way, time for a few relaxing rounds and some birthday and festive celebrations. Yes the % was chance of making the cut its 82% now so your home and hosed! By the looks of it -12 will be the line meaning we keep are trend going as I'll miss it by one which is so frustrating rather miss by 6 and say I played rubbish ffs. I'm pleased to finally break the bad run. Yeah, knowing that one missed putt cost you is sickening but you had your issues. Hopefully we can both make the cut in the same week after the break!

Here it is - Glad I'm not the only one missing those short putts!! The key is to try and leave yourself an uphill putt rather than sideways! Played the first round following Nantez - great first round from him. Nice course with tough conditions.

That's even more frustrating for me as although I had a stupid 3 putt and got my maths miles out on one shot the fact is the several 90%ers into bunkers canyons and cabbage just killed me could of been sitting at least -16 and well safe. Hopefully the watchers don't reap me tonight but I think it's inevitable!

Good morning / Afternoon all.
Happy Watchersday !!
Still as you were at the top Although there is speculation about Paul Vale who shot 62/61 -21 but is showing 62/71 is it a tgctours error or did he sign for the wrong score. Only time will tell.
Anyway onto the Cutline which is sitting at -10.
With 34 watchers and 16 hours to play this is the chances of making the cut
-14 or better are safe -13 82% -12 65% -11 44% -10 17%
Looks Like -12 will be on the line heres hoping im wrong !

Watcher Day Update under 14 hours to go
Only 3 watchers have finished up since my last post so only some minor adjustments below
-14 or better are in the watcher safe zone.
-13 90% to make cut -12 67% -11 45% -10 13%
Going to be a long night for those on -11/-12 the axe will drop on one or the other -13 are all but in and -10 are all but out. I would love to make the cut and play my last 2 rounds but Don't think -11 will hold on!

Dean, even I felt sorry for you on that last clip with the putting. I've changed my approach on those types. I try to avoid them at all costs but that is often just not possible. But I don't read as much break and putt like it is an 8-10 footer, essentially slamming it into the hole. I practiced it a bit first because if you don't have the feel it can be even more disastrous. But I've gotten to the point that I make 99% of those now where before it would strike fear into me. I don't know if this is good advice. It has just worked for me.
On a side note, I thought I'd sit this week out but decided to give the tournament a run last evening before the deadline. I don't want to be labeled a watcher or waiter though! I didn't practice and it was obvious with my first round finish of -3. Second round went better and I managed a -12. Third round first 9 was great, I was -7 at the turn. Then all hell broke loose and I had 2 bogeys, 1 double, and only 2 birdies the back nine for a +2 on that side and a -5 for the round. I didn't play round 4.

I'm not sure I've got the balls to do that, especially on fast greens. I'll give it a practice and see. im glad you've managed to get rounds in and even though they were up and down you still showed your talent in round 2. How is your friend doing? Still making quick progress?

Still making quick progress? Thanks for asking. All is going really well. He has some memory loss and can't remember anything about the accident. He recognizes most people which is apparently a good sign. Although his wife says he doesn't recognize his mother-in-law...but she thinks he is faking that one. Doctors are advising he should be making very quick recovery in certain areas but other things might take quite awhile to come back. He is already frustrated and wants to go home. But things look good overall.
