Hahaha lurkers, reekers,,stalkers, leechers, watchers and waiters. The waiters are the lads who wait till the last second to post scores even though they have already played their rounds moe. as Feng is saying about the lurkers is that they don't participate on the forums and dip in and out to lurk information such as wind and to see what scores they need. Almost like the offspring of a mutated watcher....they are a deadly breed and slip in and out of the forums unnoticed leeching information on their rivals. It's a pity they don't leech the bogies from your scorecard moe :-)

No Moe, I think "The Waiters" are the lads who have played and want to keep their cards close to their chest, they post on here even. "The Lurkers" hide in the shadows with their notepads writing down all the nuggets from the spoiler thread and don't post here themselves, then when they feel the conditions suit them they strike and late register and appear on the leaderboard out of nowhere

Good luck this week, you better smash it Nantez, I've got a tenner riding on you Haha thanks Chris but my score won't be good enough for top 10. I shot worse in the easier rounds after playing great in the wind and I just know lads will rip it apart and I'll be fed to the watchers....they are starving

If we can find out who the watchers are we can spike their drinks, make it fair That's why I'm hoping at the end of the season there will be a voting poll for watcher of the year. I'd love to see the finalists :-) haha

Back to golf.
Frustrating tournament for me.
First I have to say in my opinion best course this year absolutely loved it kept my brain going from first tee to the last putt!
Now for the whinge in 2 rounds I had no less than 7 shots that were 92% or less each one ending up in the sand I had a 78%er off one tee and ended up down a crater on the bright side I found a lovely watering hole complete couple of friendly snakes and an armadillo to have a chat with while my caddy rubbed my shoulders to calm me down.
I went out today in my new threads looking like The Tri-Colour and The Saltire had had nasty sex in the back of a fiesta after a night out and 9 months later conceived my golfing attire. I was playing best golf of my life and had ironed out so many of my silly errors.
I made 2 mistakes and was Nearly boy with every putt but believe it or not bar a reckless 3 putt and 1 bad bit of maths I played the best golf of my career on web and 2nd best comp ever.
But getting abused by the update will mean instead of me looking at beating my best finish (T25) I'm instead going to get reaped by the Watchers hopefully early on Watcher Day so I can kick the dog and go to bed early.
Oh yeah scores 68/65 -11 for cut number 2 out of the last 7.
All I can say is my only hope is the other PS4 lads get more annoyed than I did.

Well what would week 10 bring to the rollercoaster ride of Dean Huddleston's career? 6 missed cuts in a row have tested my resolve. I had high hopes practicing at Baja, it seemed harder, surely scores would be lower?
The scoreboard put me off somewhat as yet again double figures were posted. In normal wind conditions I could see myself scoring -8, -9 but I had heard about the wind and it wasn't going to be normal. Those scores looked really good. I had doubts that I could compete again.
Round 1 Now in my house we have a rule. When the real rounds start the chit chat stops, I don't want to be asked what the youngest name of my friends son is fro Christmas card purposes just as I start the first hole. I missed the fairway, the ball was about 6 miles(9ish km for our European friends) below my feet. I was happy to make the green, I wasn't happy with my first putt, or my second putt as they both missed. Bogey start. Just great!! I remembered my friend and rival yaters starting with a double bogey last week and going on to a comfortable victory, could I emulate that? A solid run of holes left me -3 after 9. I have a few missed chances but the score wasn't far off what I could have expected. Only the bogey stood out as being a problem. I lost the ability to find the green on the back 9 missing 4 out of the first 5. A bogey on the par 5 13th really hit me hard. I had battled for par on all of the other holes. -2 after 13. Only Kenny's score was in reach. (And I mean his "Real" score and not his "dream" score). 3 birdies in the final 4 holes rescued the score to something near cut line for that difficult first round. I enjoyed the battle, I didn't enjoy the Christmas card discussions!
Round 1 I know predictions have been at around -14,-15 for the cut but I had it in my head that a -8 in round 2 and -13 overall should get me through. There's quite a few players who struggle in the wind. With Christmas card discussions finally put to bed (Literally) I was able to concentrate fully. That didn't stop me almost repeating the bogey on the first but this time I managed to make a tricky little par putt. Two birdies followed and I was on track. A 3 putt bogey on the 5th put me back again and it seemed like bogeys were going to cost me. I'd had 3 and they had all come just when I didn't want them. 4 birdies in a row including a chip in calmed my nerves. -5 after 9. The back 9 was probably the most infuriating of the week so far. My swing was spot on, my approach shots were spot on, all fairways hit and GIR only missed once. My putter just wasn't there. I would say I had really good chances on 7 of the 9 holes for birdie. I needed to make a minimum of 3 of those 7 chances, I was hoping for 5. I made the 3 which although matched my conservative target I was unhappy with the missed chances. If 1 or 2 of those missed putts means I don't make the cut then I will be very annoyed.
Fingers crossed -13 is enough. At the moment I stand 30th out of 81 but we all know what can happen with the waiters and the lurkers.
I did manage a great 30 odd foot putt which I might share with you later as they happen so infrequently for me!!

Happy Watchers Eve everyone!
Ill keep to my usual watcher safe zone updates this week although knowing im not going to make the cut makes it tough on me ! Bloody update grrrrr.
Anyway as things stand early days yet -19 is the Watcher Safe Zone so just the top 4 safe for now with 66 Watchers out there.
Cut is currently at -4 but that will change majorly over the next 42 hours.
I predicted -12 will make it but in light of the scores I would say -13 is were you need to be!
Which is great news for our Dean who will be sent a special email from tgc to inform him that yes tournaments do go on for 4 rounds just incase he forgot!
Ill be back on later with updates on my demise Yay!
Back to scheduling for me!

-10, -8, -6, -5 for a total of -29. But you guys don't have to worry about my score taking up a position in the top 70 as I used up my exemption right away. As a result of my poor play on exemption in the PGA (-1 & -8 in the first rounds), I will be back with you boys next week. Honestly, I really felt like I couldn't compete up there with. Maybe it's better that I stay in Web.com for the time being. My predictions this week for Web.com: Winner: -43 Top 5: -38 Top 30: -31 Cut-line: -14 jimmy, it's been more competitive in Web from what I've seen this season

Haha great banter here and love the Watcher/waiter comments/jibes. As its a spoiler thread perhaps some of the potential watchers could let themselves be known, being christmas and all, time for sharing etc etc
