It will be a long wait waiting on THE WATCHERS they let the clock tick down till the last minute then enter their scores Just had a look at leaderboard there -22 won't stay going to miss the cut over that phantom putt that took itself. Sofa kicked, wife shouted at (has to be her fault) and I predict said kicked sofa will be slept on tonight! I think that the cut line has a chance at staying at -22. Currently 59 players have -23 or better out of 124 players. There are 25 players remaining "watchers" that have yet to submit a score. There's also 5 additional people that have a -11 or better on the first round that have yet to submit their second round. So out of these 30 remaining players, 11 of them have to score -23 or better to displace the dozen players from the -22 cut line. My guess is that 15 people won't submit a score this week and that 7-8 players of those that do submit will be a score -23 or better.

Another Tiger Woods course this week, not sure if I will make the cut, sweating -23
Round 1 (-12) Round 2 (-11) Round 3 (-15) Round 4 (-12)
Total -50
I left several strokes on the course in round 1 and 2... I sure hope my 57 gets counted...

Just a matter if it's the right side of 70 so that the -22's get in.

I think you could be right about -22 getting in but it's going to be close either way, just looking at the leaderboard there are not that many yet to play but there are a fair few that normally do play late and do quite well so I'd expect them to definitely play, same with the guy who won on CC-A last week, I'd expect him to play and score well as he's in form. On a lighter note I wonder if we could get some "watcher" stats on here, like the money list that awards points for the latest score input and counts towards the coveted "watcher" of the year trophy, we could also have stats for watch-to-win ratio and stuff like that

Cheers for the support guys. I don't mind having 1 or 2 missed cuts here and there but if I do miss the next 2 it'll be 6 in a row. For me that isn't much fun. I've been playing this game now for 8 months and I can't see me improving much. I really don't feel I'm playing that badly for my own ability. Here's some stats - I started in Web A back in April and my results were - 105th 68th 61st 96th 89th 77th 36th 92nd 66th I then got demoted to CC-B where I challenged most weeks - 82th 10th 48th 2nd 12th 57th 22nd 33rd 58th 2nd (Championships) I had a few attempts at promotion to CCA but failed - 71st 55th 76th Back to web this season after promotion through the championship. 27th 6th 23rd 87th - missed cut Forgot to enter scores but would have missed cut 69th - missed cut This week - missed cut You can see that apart from the first 3 weeks of the season I've stayed around the same level on web for 2 seasons now.

I can't explain those first 3 weeks, I guess it was down to good players moving to the pro tours and good players not getting through the championship from the CC levels.

Personally I've had T115 MC T112 MC T86 MC (by 1 i think) T79 made cut blew up T51 T99 MC (hacked) and possibly I make it or miss it by 1 this week. It is a pain in the hole no 2 ways about it but you got hear on merit and the last few weeks have been a test of midrange putting! I would hold on till the tougher courses come back and see if there more suitable to you. There must be something in there going by your first 3 events. I am were i am because my putting ability and ill temper to be honest. And spent most of my free time in the last 4 weeks building a course and doing minimal practice rounds. As a Newcastle Fan I know you've had bad times do you ever say they'd be better of in the championship? Chin up Mate. Moe "The Motivator" Slorkman

Actually Newcastle's season in the Championship was one of the more enjoyable in recent times but it doesn't mean I want us to go back down there. Yeah, I think I'd do better at harder courses. My approaches compared to others seem good for longer irons and I really do struggle with putts between 6 and 12 foot more than I should.

I think I can explain some of it and hopefully it doesn't come off bad. I think the easy courses we have seen in the last few weeks have brought the average players towards the top. Once we start seeing the wind, the firm/fast greens, and overall tougher courses, I think the separation will be there again. I am by no means downplaying he talent on Web, I think it is great. I just think there is not the distinct separation of skill there once was because everything is easy. I would wait until we see a more challenging course and then make a determination on where your talent level lies compared to others.

I'm already missing the chit-chatter of the Web topics - in Euro a lot of players tend to mind their own business far too much I have something to say to Dean: mate, if you demote yourself to CC I don't think you'll have more fun - you'll just lose confidence. Trust your game, the season is so long and you'll have plenty of time to get back on your feet - even if (say) you'll miss another couple of cuts. It's not like you're missing cuts by 10 shots I think it's perfectly normal to hit some walls during the life of this game - but I'm sure there's no pure talent involved in getting better. It's just a matter of time, practice (a ton) and confidence. The only talent I see it's related to how fast each one of us understand the game mechanics.

That will hopefully be in 2 or 3 weeks time! I can't wait for the challenge.

Started my TGC career in E, worked my way up to A. Snagged a Web card in that tourney that Mr. Kuo played like a friggin' robot and beat all of us by like 10 strokes. So far this season:
T34 T40 MC Didn't play, week before vacay, busy Didn't play, vacay MC - putter very rusty after 2 weeks off
And now I sit at -23 thru 2 rounds this week, just hoping to make cut. Honestly, dunno that I belong on the Web Tour. People at this level are sooo much more skilled than myself. I've just got to stop looking at the leaderboards and just play the course with the goal every week being to just make the cut. I like this setup much better rather than the CC setup where you have to play all 4 rounds or get a DQ. If I'm not mistaken, as long as I stay active, I get to keep my Web card. Hope that's true. But Web is my ceiling. I'm not going to put the time in required to be a PGA player, as that will make the game feel like a job to me. I'd have put this game down a while ago if I didn't have TGC tours though. Just wouldn't be the same game for me if I didn't have the pressure of posting a score every week and seeing how I compare to my "peers", even though I probably belong in A. Really, the only reason I have a Web card is because there were so many inactives at the end of last season. And for that, on Thanksgiving here in the states, I'm thankful.

I've just got to stop looking at the leaderboards and just play the course with the goal every week being to just make the cut. I thought the same a few weeks back, I was struggling. I've found not playing the game as much keeps me fresh. One practice round, then into the tourney. Don't check the leaderboards, just play. Has worked wonders since. When I was struggling I was playing the game for 2/3 hours every day, and it caused burnout, and major doubts when putting. I've gone from T82nd and a MC to a T25th, T37th and T24th, whilst sitting T10th currently.

I thought the course played much tougher in the 4th round.. you actually had to think about how some of the shots were going to roll out. I had a weird wind situation though... went from 1 mph wind on 15 to 10 mph wind on 16. Not seen that in a while, but made me have to adjust (which I didn't do.. haha).
63 in round 4 for me, which puts me -44 on the week... middle of the pack.
