Some great scores from you guys this week and a very good recreation of this course. Followed a PGA guy and North47 on 2nd round and was ahead of the curve -15 thru 14 holing everything. Missed short putts on 15, 16 and 17 which would have been my best round to date. No doubt I won't sustain the scoring but it's nice to be top of PS4 leaderboard thru 2 for a change!
You guys in CCA should be playing the web tourney to get a feel for the courses.
Good luck to you all

-11 -11 -3. What the F? Weirdly tee to green my best round also... Missed so many puts and 3 putted so many times thought I was going to throw up!
Finished with -12
Final - -37 Got screwed a few times with 95 on pitches but prob my fault for being tentative with the stick!
My struggle from cc-c. Trying to get to b carries on! Change of rule week 1 (no excemption) Week 2 - missed excemption by 1 shot! Week 3 - I think will be extremely lucky to get a top ten in cc-c with -37 ... Should have been -45 or better easy.
Oh and a message to koolklubber! - you suck! Lol. Only cause you smoked it! Great playing.. Played all 4 rounds with ya.. Can u say putting machine! -55 Not to shabby! Feel free to hand out putting tips!

Well almost choked in round 3 before finishing with 4 birdies and a hole out eagle from 37 yards on the 18th for eagle to save my round. Ended up -10 and -10 in rounds 3 and 4. Not too shabby sitting at -43 and hoping for my first top 10 .

Looking at PS4 scores last night I can see that two flight A guys have posted -49 scores and then it slowly trickles down from there. Those two PS4 guys are comfortably leading the other PS4 flight A players to complete their rounds (I think there was those two at -49, me at -46 then a handful at -45/-44/-43) So I think you'll be good for top 10 as it stands!

Thanks saintlineker! I just went through the equivalent of a swing change (switched controllers last week) so I'm very happy with this finish. HAHA

Haha nice. I need to "change my swing too"! My PS4 controller has fallen to pieces since I've picked up TGC.
One of my friends has started using a calculator to help with his yardage when he misses the fairway or rough - I was calling that the equivalent of buying an optical range finder lol. I've started doing similar and also have started making very quick notes whilst on a practice round so I know where to try and put my ball on each hole which would be my caddie's notes I guess lol.

On XB1 a couple of the people that is in the top each week doesn't compete here. They just play the tournaments anyways. Maybe they just not want to, maybe they are the type of people playing with a controller with zero deviation x-axis and would be (or perhaps already have been) expelled from here? So, it's not at all a given that all of these results turn up on the leaderboard.

I use this all the time it's a great help. The other parts in the tips and tricks tutorial are great also for working out winds etc. For example if the wind is in your face at say 4mph, you have a distance of we say 130yds to the pin (with medium green speed/firmness) and the elevation is down 15 feet. Take off 3-5 from distance to allow for roll (say 4) becomes 126yds, divide elevation by 3, so that becomes 5, subtract that from 126 gives you 121. For the wind (4mph in the face) add 50% to that (becomes 6mph) and add that to the 121 giving you 127. Now just take a club and/or loft that will carry closest to 127yds and (hopefully) should land close to the pin. If the wind is at your back, again we say 4mph, take 75% of that away from your yardage, the 121yds, becomes 118yds. Closest there is the pitching wedge (120yds). It really goes into great detail for different scenarios including ruff and bunker shots and helped my game out a great deal. It is stated however that it is NOT exact and some fine tuning on your own part may be needed. But once you get used to working out the numbers its just a matter of how you feel about the shot.

After having a year out due to destroying my wrist which kept me from playing the game, I'm more than happy with my -49 bogey free tournament. As for staying joint top im quite sure that will be beaten as I left 5 shots out there in the 1st round. Over all I really enjoyed my return to a competitive environment.

Are round three windy (14-15 mph) for us all?

Are round three windy (14-15 mph) for us all? Yes. The wind fix gives everyone the same general wind speeds and directions. If you watch the wind now, it does vary a little while you are setting up your shot/take your shot.

OK, thank you. The wind went down a little bit later on in the round.
