Hi everyone!
The RRCC-Tour (Reviewer Recommended Challenge Cup) forPS4-players all players is about to start with Season 2!
To anyone new here, I wanna quickly tell you what this side tour is generally all about:
This is a quote from jamesearl13 , who initially created this tour a few months ago. When he was running out of free time, I took over his project because I thought it was not only a nice idea, but also a lot of fun to play some really outstanding & beautiful courses without pressure and more for the fun part of TGC!
SO HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
Each week I will select 3 different courses, each one played for just one round.
Players will need to find them in the "PLAY TOUR"-menu.
I will start each weeks's name with "RRCC Tour - Week XY" to make searching for them a breeze.
Simply play your rounds! No need to submit scores anywhere! We will get your final scores from the ingame leaderboard as soon as the event has finished.
With the help of the community we will try to keep actual standings and leaderboards updated at any time in this thread! While the main focus of this tour will always be the fun part, at least a bit of "competition" is nice to have and will hopefully encourage more people to participate (on a regular basis)! To make it even more interesting for those that do not find the time to participate over the whole season, we will (again) play "series" of 4 weeks (eg. Week 1-4, Week 5-8, etc.) before the actual leaderboard is reset and we start a new one! Of course there is going to be a final leaderboard for the whole season at the end of the year. If you wonder how points are distributed, here is how we are going to do it for this season:
UPDATED POINT DISTRIBUTION
Anyone at or behind that 25th place who completed all rounds will also receive 5 points. To make sure things go down to the wire, we are playing for Double Points in the final week of a series (so that would be Week 4 for the first series; Week 8 in the second, etc.)
+++ CURRENT STANDINGS / LEADERBOARDS +++
I will be creating a tour every week starting on Thursday morning (Central European Time; should be in the middle of Thursday night Eastern Time), and will set the time limit for each one at 19 days, thus giving a window that will allow players 3 weekends to complete them. So after the first couple of weeks there will actually be 3 active events running at the same time. Just in case you were unaware, all 3 rounds do not have to be played in one sitting. In fact you can interrupt a round at anytime, and even go play rounds outside of the event, and can just continue it by going back into the "PLAY TOUR"-menu again and pulling up said event.
The main goal here is to help call attention to some of the fine design work on courses that never really got their moment in the sun. Please help spread the word amongst your playing circles. This tour is NOT related to TGCTours in any way, and will have no bearing on your rankings or tour status.
I hope for lots of participation, and please feel free to suggest some of your (old) favorites at any time!

To anyone new here, I wanna quickly tell you what this side tour is generally all about:
"This tour is trying to help promote underutilized courses, both new and old. These are of course different than the regular weekly events. I've found that we have so many courses in the listings, and as fan of everybody's work, this was the best idea I could think of to generate some traffic for them."
