Looks like I'll be up in the big leagues next year! 63-61, -20 through two rounds puts me in decent position. Haven't played this well in ages, and did so having not touched Columbia in almost a week. Perhaps I play better when I'm not so tense about everything. I find I play better if I haven't played the course in a long time, or at all. It makes you think and concentrate more on your shots, at least for me.

Yeah, I feel I need one play to get a basic idea of what I'm up against, but in terms of playing a couple rounds on each pin placement before the tournament... I'm probably better off not. I seem to do better in those practice rounds than the actual thing!

I suppose my time in the 'Web' is drawing to a close like the rest of you. While new challanges await, I think season 2 will be hard to match the enjoyment I had (especially the first half of season 1) in the Web this year.
It appears that a lot of the people that I've had fun with will be heading to the Euro Tour.
Good luck and 'see ya soon'.

I might be straddling the borderline between the PGA and Euro next year, but it's been fun as well. Had my best tournament on the Web this season in terms of relation to par (-33) (not counting Web-B events). Looking forward to next season!

Hopefully I'll make it up there. Too bad there's no cross-platform play. Would love to play live rounds with you!

Silly question - is there any discernible difference in choosing PGA vs Euro? I selected PGA just out of personal preference (I follow the PGA tour more than the European tour and want to be playing in the same tournaments I watch week to week). My understanding is that they're basically both equal in skill level.
(I'm aware that I may not get my choice of tour depending on the demand for PGA cards and where I end up ranking on the Finals list...)

Also, their playoff system at the end of the year is different. This is just a guess, but I think there will be more PGA members at the start of season two than Euro members, so making cuts may be more difficult there due to field size.

Congrats to Ryan for his captain's pick to the international team in the presidents cup!! He may be on the losing team but that's quite an honor. Good luck man!

Completed this week's tournament earlier than usual because of an upcoming trip. I played 69-60-65-62 (-32) and will presumably end up in the middle of the leaderboard as always since being promoted from CC But I'm curious. Did everybody have the same wind variations in round 1 and 4? I'm playing on XB1 and in R1 winds varied from 1 to 9 mph on the front 9 and from 12 to 17 mph on the back 9. And it was similar in R4 (2-8mph on f9 and 10-13mph on b9), whereas winds in R2 and 3 were constant. I'm not complaining, just making an observation All in all, I really liked the design and the playability of the course … a little bit on the easy side, but it's difficult to design a tough but fair course. My only critic would be about the 150 yds markers/posts in the middle of the fairways since I was unlucky enough to have a drive ending up inches from one during my last round, making the next shot unplayable. I just lost one shot on that hole, so it wouldn't have helped my overall tournament score, but maybe HB could come up with some distance tiles to be placed on fairways instead posts.

I feel like they should be off to the side in the rough if they're going to be used in the course design. I ended up hitting a post with one of my drives in the first round. Fortunately, it didn't get in the way of my next shot but it probably took away 10ish yards from my drive. Anyhow, I went dual 64s in the first two rounds. Sitting at -16 and tied with Tim going into the weekend. With only $57 separating us on the Web Finals money list, the pressure is most certainly on!

A few people have commented about how well the course was designed. For those unaware, this was a boreal version of Swindon Downs which featured in a qualifying competition a while ago. A tough course then, so not sure if this one played easier or I really sucked back then!
Probably the latter! Anyway, enjoyed this course and a fitting end to the web finals.

this one plays slightly easier. Part of it is the winds but I smoothed out some edges quite a bit, toned down the greens in spots, redid some of the bunkers for a better look... that kind of thing.

Ah, so that's why some of the holes were giving me a bit of déjà vu. Considering how I scored +22 in that qualifying event and how I'm -16 through 2 rounds in this tournament, I'd say this version plays a bit easier. There's no way I've improved even close to that much since then.
