This is the worst course to date. So cheesy, with way too many unrealistic extremes. Very poor choice for an event. Dude, your an idiot. I say that only for one reason and that is a few posts before yours the creator commented the intentions of the course and pleaded for constructive criticism and yet you chose to write the garbage you did. My guess is you played like crap and you blamed the course. Nothing is that extreme on this course.

Courses like this are what make the golf club what it is. I mean this guy made volcanos for crying out loud! That insane/awesome. Nothing is unfair or extreme on this course! I know it's my opinion but I know a well built and well designed course when I see it. Isla Resaca is one of those courses. 9.5/10 for me. Congrats to the designer on making a beauty!

Personally I just imagined he was being facetious...but...who knows!

not a fan of tricked up courses, but I don't think this is, in fact I LIKE IT.

I wish I could have the vision to create courses like Reebdoog does. Lots of imagination and attention to detail is great. That being said, I was extremely frustrated with this course and my play on it. Probably my worst tournament to date.

If the creator wanted to make the pin placements hard, then he should of softened the green/speeds. Way too many holes are tucked in corners that are nearly impossible to land on. I can't stress enough (of my personal opinion) that this course should not have been selected for a tournament.

I loved the course... some of the best bunkering Ive seen... And I hit a few of them too ha ha...
Not a very difficult course to play, I just didn't play as well as I know I can....
One of my favorites from the tour season so far...

I will point to this thread as an indication or proof that different people have different opinions on just about every course, and obviously different preferences. Not only this thread, but also the course suggestion thread, where I have seen people recommend that we re-use some courses that several people were very vocally unhappy with.
Therefore, I encourage all players to remember this if and when they play a track that they do not enjoy. Just because you do not like the course, does not mean it was a "bad" selection, or a "joke", or any other inflammatory opinion. I try my best to mix up the course styles, and will continue to do so. Just know that you cannot be 100% happy with every selection, because this would mean someone was likely 100% unhappy.
Also, since I mentioned it, use the course suggestion thread! Multiple suggestions or co-signs on the same course (from multiple people of course... not from one person!) are a good indication to me that a course will appeal to at least a portion of the crowd.

THIS COURSE HAS NO REDEEMING VALUES! TOTAL FANTASY ON EVERY HOLE INCLUDING THE ONES THAT AREN'T FANTASY AT ALL! EVERY PUTT BREAKS 15 FEET AND IS DOWNHILL! ALSO I SAW TWO VOLCANOS. TOTALLY UNPOSSIBLE!

Oh, those were volcanos. .. lol
Side note, I printed out an overhead view of this course, just for the purpose of sending it through the paper shredder.
Consider your course properly shredded!
LOL

I think this is one of the best courses we have played. As intended the front 9 gives you birdie opportunities and the 2nd 9, keeping it bogey free is an achievement. All greens are accessible, forget where the pin is. Get it on the green, hope for a long putt in but make sure you get par. I've had -6 to +6 on practices. You really have to think! As for the elevations, maybe fantasy if you live in Florida or The Netherlands but in the UK this is fairy common. My local course has elevations like this. Not fantasy at all, just not what you normally play. PS. I will completely change my mind if I screw up the last 2 rounds later today

Just because you ( & I ) couldn't quite handle the course is not the courses fault. I struggled a bit (especially when the wind really got up) but managed to chip & recover OKish to keep 2-3 under par each round.
Reality, everybody is now playing the same conditions and having courses when you can have your metaphorical DRIVER stroked by shooting stupid low because it's easy is BORING & a little sad really.
This was a challenge, I met it as best I could & I appreciate the effort of the designer for a cracking good looking & playing course.

If your a flat-lander ... 10 foot changes maybe too extreme for most. I've played courses here in California where 100 feet of elevation changes are not uncommon. 30 feet of changes are even more common. Nothing fantasy about these deltas in elevation. unless you're a member of the Flat Earth Society .... LOL Interesting tid bits: Top 10 highest peaks EAST of the Mississippi ...The highest peaks east of the Mississippi all reside in the Blue Ridge province of the Southern Appalachians, most notably in the Black and Great Smoky mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. (1) 6,684-foot Mount Mitchell (2) 6,647-foot Mount Craig (3) 6,643-foot Clingman’s Dome (4) 6,621-foot Mount Guyot (5) 6,611-foot Balsam Cone (6) 6,593-foot Mount LeConte (7) 6,571-foot Mount Gibbes (8) 6,475-foot Potato Hill (9) 6,417-foot Mount Chapman (10) 6,410-foot Richland Balsam. And then there's Alaska (not much golf there however), California & Colorado (throw in Washington, Wyoming and Utah for good measure) Top 200 Highest peaks in United States. The Highest Golf Courses in the World (Colorado has 3 in the top 10; #5, #6 & #7) Par 3's with Severe Elevation Changes ...Scariest par 3, I ever played in real life ... (never hit the green from the tee - yet - Played this hole 3 times) The 15th hole at LakeRidge, in Reno Nevada ... though some of you may get a laugh out of this ... or, not ...
