Are the 125 players that are in the Barclays field now the only ones going forward who can advance? Or can a European player high on the list who has not played the Barclays, maybe has a poor finish at the Turkish Airlines event then come play the Duetsche Bank and insert themselves into the points field?
I have no beef if this is okay, but I ask this because I want to allow for things like this before I play rounds 3 and 4 of the Barclays because I am trying to narrow down a finishing place for myself I have to hit as a minimum to move up into the top 100.

I would think they could switch over and visa versa. So long as you are in the top 100 Fed Ex still after the first tournament, and meet all other requirements there shouldn't be an issue. There was some talk that if the finals weren't being played on the same day, a few of us could have played the first 2 or 3 Euro events, then switched back to the fed ex side and still maintain the ranking to play in both finals. With them on the same day it is moot now.

There are a handful that can do that. They need a PGA Tour card and the only way to have one at this point in the season is to have won while crossing over or to have won a major/wgc event.
Vise versa for going to Euro playoffs.

Under TGCT FedEx page, I only received 26.5 points this week. So it appears they are not using PGA FedEx playoff points system? I sure wish TGCT would speak about this and give us an up to date FedEx list from those who are playing in the playoffs.

Doyley put in the Shoutbox that there is an issue with the FedEx points and they are working on fixing it. They are going to be using the playoff point system.

Thanks for the Fed Ex update. So second question.
Are you able to add a red dot to those people like Brionne and Bradley and such who are playing on the Euro side that aren't playing in the Fed Ex side or those who aren't playing at all (missed last tourney?)
It is much easier this way for those on the bubble to realize if they are in or not.
Thanks.

OK, I am one of the select few who sit on the bubble line of 30. TGCT list has me as the 29th player for this weeks tourney when made out event players, and on 2-3 other list I am high as 36 and on another 31, man the suspense is growing! This morning I am checking names around me to see how they have fared in first 2 rounds and I was amazed at how close we shot. Anyway, I have been annoying on here trying to get an accurate, up to date list, in order, of who is playing in the FedEx Cup Playoffs and where we stand.
So I am asking again, please rank us properly and make it known. I watch PGA Tour on TV and they know exactly where each person stands as for their FedEX points to make the next tourney and who is eligible. Why don't we have this as well?
My goal all year was to win one, over the last half of year it has been more of lets just make the top 30 FedEx and play in last event. It will suck if I don't truly know where I stand until TGCT makes out the player list for the Tour Championship.

The Fed Ex list is up to date. All the people there have earned their points and could potentially play if they wished to, technically (tho I think Euro folks like Ian, Brionned and Bradley) couldn't jump over at this point as they have already played in the first Euro tournament.
Aside from that the only other person questionable would be Jeremy Blaylock who didn't play in the first Fed Ex tourney. He still has the points but I don't know whether the admin will allow him to be registered for the top 30 if he doesn't play in the first and then the second.
So at least you know that 3 of the top 30 are Euro players and you also know that 2 others are no longer playing and most likely won't be playing either. So that is 5 people most assuredly you can discount and one that is questionable, depending on how the admin decide.

I think your expectations of what a group of volunteers should produce is a tad out of whack. Your "why don't we have this as well" is telling. We don't have this as well because the professional broadcast entities have teams of people dedicated to producing it and conveying the information during broadcasts and running all the points scenarios on computers. Why will it suck that you don't know where you stand until the list comes out? If you know earlier or later, it doesn't change anything. They need the prior tournament to finish to calculate the points to determine the field. They don't have everything running in real time with every score submitted. Sometimes I think people really need to give their head a shake on what they are asking for.

I am asking for an up to date leaderboard of who is actually playing in the Playoffs as of each tourney. There is an actual FedEx leaderboard but it does not take into account who is non-active and the Euro Players on that list that are not playing the Playoffs. I am not the only one who desires this info. You just seem to have the need to attack someone today don't you? Here is what I said: "So I am asking again, please rank us properly and make it known. " Wow, never knew the word PLEASE to be such an insult. Good day sir!

"I am asking for an up to date leaderboard of who is actually playing in the Playoffs as of each tourney"
Wouldn't the leaderboard of that tournament tell you that?
And no, I didn't have a need to attack someone. I will admit that I read "I am asking again, please rank us properly and make it known" in not the best light. It came across as heavy handed and kind of demanding to me. If that wasn't your intent, I apologize.
It just seems to me that once the leaderboard comes out, you will find exactly what you are looking for without the admin staff having to do anything more than what they already do. That is exactly how I found out if I've been in the field for the R2D tournaments. I've checked the Monday leaderboard before the emails... saw myself on the list and said, "Cool... I guess I'm in then".

So this is how it works. Our volunteer admin looks at the final tally of the previous weeks' tournament on Sunday. Yes the next weeks' tournament has already started but no one is able to submit a score yet. So people can play the tourney fine and if they make it they can submit the scores on Monday. If they don't, well great practice.
On Sunday, they update and release the new Fed Ex list, which, as i have stated earlier, includes some European players and some inactive players. The admin have flagged the inactive players, but at the time when this all started, they needed to include the Euro players because there was a window of time where as many as a dozen players could have switched tours and played in the opposite tour championship. It is as of Sunday, that the admin register those qualified into the next tournament.
As for why haven't the admin made an official list? A few reasons, one they are very busy. Second there have been several of us that have done the work for them. It is technically unofficial (we had one member get DQ'd) but as we get closer to the top 30, there are only a few players (as I mentioned in a previous post) that you need to look for. I'll mention them again.
Euro players Brionne Bradley Cooper Ian Sweeney
Inactive players: Steve Sloan David Williams
As before I'm thinking the admin are keeping in Jeremy Blaylock cause he has technically earned his way into the tournaments and there is no requirement (as far as i know) to play in them. As long as his position holds he can wait until the final tournament and technically win.
So there you have it.. Take your current position and minus 5. That is your ranking.
Questions?
