All about the putter this week, more than usual. Without wind you should be looking at 4 eagle putts. Hit -11 in 8-10mph winds earlier and that was -1 thru 7. Great course for the Challenge Circuit tho, albeit on the easier side, fully understand the need for varying the difficulty week to week. I'm thinking the winning scores might be around...

It is the Snuggie Classic after all, so the course should give that warm, fuzzy, comfortable feeling to everyone. The course is easier but still fun to play. Hopefully the patch comes and everyone gets super high winds.

Hey guys! Had to jump in here. Just wanted give some back ground to Hobble. Played it every day as a kid, through High School and even college. The back nine is the original nine and has long tee boxes. The front nine was add years later and lot of the time has three tee boxes that are raised up. Now I live 1700 miles away and don't get to play it, except for the occasional trip home. So with the help of Dr Yeti who lives close and was able to post pictures of it on the HB forum thread, I also had a video that I had done of it a couple of years back, along with google pro to make all the tees, fairways and greens to scale. This feels amazing like playing the real thing. Since I was making a replica of the real thing, I had to go thick with the trees, but hope is coming, in the next update HB has removed the frame rate issues to affect your swing! So I'm hoping this will solve that issue for the most part. Here is the WIP thread where you can check out real pictures of the course: www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=10307.105 Hope you enjoy my long lost love... Hobble Creek!

I'll have a nosey for some real life pics later but must admit this has been designed well. Are you only able to have 1 coloured cart path or can you have different colours? Also, I like the trick you used for the bridge on 2 - might use that as I need a bridge without rails on my wip. Hope the frame rate issues are solved because this is a nice course! Congrats!

Don't ever think criticism of the course is aimed at you mate. I think it's a cracking looking course and there's nothing you, as the designer, can do about the frame rate other than removing half the landscape, which would just make the course look crap and pointless! If it weren't for you top fellas designing these courses then they'd probably be no TGC Tours so keep up the good work sir!

Congrats! we are only able to have one color for the paths. I had to make the custom bridges for the ground to be at the right visual hight in some of the places. I also tried to make them look like the bridges they use in real life. pretty happy with the final look of them. I basically raised the ground and made it level, then lined up the wooden single stair. I would love to see the frame rate issue solved, because I don't like to hinder my planting just for a good frame rate.

Just wanted to make sure you knew some back story to the course and were aware of the pictures in the "WIP" thread. Hopefully, makes for a more engaged round of golf, if you know what I mean.

After the update the course seemed much smoother and I only had one swing caused by latency.

I just finished my a round and it was much better. One piece of advice, do not go long on hole 17. Downhill putt if missed goes past the hole at least 10 feet.

Definitely don't want a L-R or vice versa putt! I'm sure there are upto 12mph winds for this one. Should make it a little more interesting

Wow, after weeks of missing eagle and birdie putts I finally put 4 great rounds together. Played 2 practice rounds with -10. I enjoyed this course because it had a hometown local feel that probably all of us that play golf can relate to. I actually took the opportunity to study the greens and watch the ghost balls as they hit the green. What I like about the course is that some holes you could attack the pin straight on, but a number of holes you had to go for the hole indirectly. Great course in my opinion.
Started off with a solid 57. My lowest tourney round by 5 strokes.

Wish I hadn't read that..... To me this was one of those annoying events where I couldn't get anything going. There were sporadic good shots interchanged with lots of average shots. I lost count of the number of holes I should have birdied and instead left each green cussing, shouting or generally exhaling loudly. Tried way too hard on this one!
