Welcome to TGC Tours Oscar, I'm sure you'll enjoy your time here. Just to let you know the TGC Tours tournaments are all cross platform so if you compete in that you'll compete against all others on your flight.
As far as the designer you can check out Crazycanuck1985's tutorials and Matt F's The Joy of Planting on YouTube. If you're on Twitch there are designers who'll stream whilst designing, these are ideal for quicker answers and explanations. There is also the Tips and Tricks section in the forum where you can ask questions, there are plenty of designers who may be able to help.

Hey... I joined TGC tours about six months ago, and loving it. Currently I’m on CC-D tour, absolutely love TST and USE. Hubby and I have had every version of The Golf Club, Tiger Woods franchise and ugh - Rory McIlroy.
Little bit about me. I retired 8 years ago and hubby retired from the police last year. We sold our home in Ottawa Ontario and left for our dream - off-grid life. Bought a beautiful log cabin way, way up north...far removed from neighbours. Our power is generated from solar panels, our water drawn from the lake, and a lovely compost toilet lol. Our internet is via satellite dish, and is spotty at best during storms and winter. In my spare time, I like to ride my fat bike, backcountry camp and long distance hikes...and I bow hunt (moose, bear, grouse and rabbit). Not your typical woman! This year I had a failed attempt at hiking the Appalachian Trail, but unfortunately due a knee injury, I had to quit. I’m training again for a 2020 attempt. That’s about it.

From Australia. As with Thomas a few posts back, been playing golf sims since the 80's. Leaderboard on the C64, then the Links series on PC, Tiger Woods, and a few others in between. TGC2019 def my favourite (been playing for several weeks now) and the TGC Tours Society weekly tourneys will keep me coming back for a long while yet....although I've bombed a bit on CC-A this week thanks to some graphics card / swing tempo anomalies (time for a new PC I think). Still finding my True Sim legs but enjoy the challenge nonetheless. I love the fictional courses....some of the designers have done brilliant work and gives the game another dimension. Keep up the good work all of you. Enjoy playing and watching sport but into my early 50's now the playing bit is on the wane....cycling is keeping me in shape. Haven't play a round for nearly 12 months now. Need to dust off the Calloways. Cheers

Bob here from what I consider the golf capital of the US, Scottsdale, AZ. You can see my townhome from the 16th Grandstands at TPC. And yes, I can walk to the front gate. :-)
I've been playing golf since the 80s and IRL am about a 14 handicap. I currently am a manager at Troon CC in North Scottsdale (Not Troon North, although the management company I work for operates both), and man would I love someone to put that on their design list. It is a world class course.
I'm pretty new to TGC and the tour and qualified for CC-G out of Q-School. I generally shoot anywhere from -2 to +2 with a random -7 or plus 4 thrown in if I can or can't hit a putt that day.
Having a great time so far!!

What's going on y'all? I'm Jon and located in Atlanta, GA metro area.
I've been playing golf for as long as I can remember. My dad is a head pro and made sure he instilled a love of the game even if he couldn't quite teach me how to "Live Under Par" as the tour says. lol. I picked up TGC2019 specifically for the designer, its something I've always dreamed of golf games having. Sandbox/management/generally creative games are the ones that always take up most of my time. So, I'm just upset it took me five years to discover this franchise. Wonderfully, it turns out the actual game play is just as good as the designer so when I started seeing references to TGC Tours online I figured I should see what its all about. Can't wait for the new season to start up and see how I match up!
Aside from golf and golf video games, I love playing music. Guitar and bass mostly, but if you ask nicely and give me a microphone I might give you a taste of my voice set to some rock n' roll. I'm also a massive soccer fan, my one true sporting love honestly. If you want to hear me talk until you can't take it anymore, just ask me for my opinion on any Atlanta United related subject. I've also got a penchant for the outdoors and hunting, mostly deer but I've been known to go on a turkey hunt. Thankfully deer season lines up with the less desirable seasons for golf and pick up soccer. So, I still get my fix of all three through the year.
That about sums it up in a nutshell. Thankfully there isn't any Q school this weekend, I'll be at East Lake taking in the real Tour Championship. But, once things get back on track I'll be excited to get to know everyone and play some golf!

Been here a while, but realized I haven't officially introduced myself (for what that matters) ...
I'm Brian ... live in the Columbus, OH area ... though have lived in Australia (Melbourne) a bit as well in the past (couple years).
I have spurts of IRL golfing, but it's not a hobby that's easy to do when you're short on funds .... then I got myself a 9-5 day job and have the money to do so, but simply don't have much time to get out there to play. I miss it, but this game fills the void nicely.
Been an avid gamer since Atari 2600, Commodore 64, and on up. I fell in love with the realism of the Tiger Woods games (when they moved to a pull-back, push-forward movement for swings ... the 3-click method was too easy); however, EA decided to abandon the PC gamers (and, sorry, browser-based games just don't cut it), so I hadn't had a real golf game to play until TGC came around. So, needless to say, I play on PC (Steam) and I use keyboard/mouse. My Steam name is Theopen, so feel free to hit me up!
I started here in June in CC-E out of Q-School ... have had a few promotions and got into the Web.com tour right at the end of this season ... so, I'm looking forward to starting fresh in September!
Aside from games ... I love to play guitar (if you know what my avatar is - or who it is - then, peace and love and good happiness stuff!)
I'm a web-developer by trade (specializing in frontend, but do full stack development as well ... though it started as a hobby, too).

Hi everyone! I’m Kellen and I’m from Arizona. I have been playing TGC since TGC1 but just found this community a month or so ago. Really loving it! I’ve been enjoying the competition of CC-A, TST, and different societies. I also really like designing courses and have been designing since TGC1 and am starting to get the hang of it more now. I would really like to get to know some other players better so I can play some matches and alternate shot. Looking forward to becoming part of the community.

Hey all,
I'm Keith, the PointlessCasserole.
I love golf, and design-centric games. I'm a city planner and developer by training and profession, and I've played a lot of city-building games in the past (most recently, 1000 hours or so of Cities:Skylines), with a strong focus on design principles and aesthetics. Secretly, in my heart, I believe I should have been a golf course designer. I used to doodle golf holes in the margin of my notebook in school when I got bored. Which was often . . . .
Anyway, I've just gotten started with TGC2019 (late to the party, I know) and I'm LOVING the game, and not only the course design mode. I look forward to joining some tours and maybe live streaming some of my design and gameplay.
I live in Maine, USA. I'm also a guitarist in a post-rock/post-metal band called This World Has Bees. You can find us on spotify (shameless plug).
If you watch MiltonTPike1, Sacriel, ClassyPax, or SheriffEli on twitch, you've probably seen me in chat. I've also started following everyone and anyone i can find who streams TGC2019 gameplay, especially course designers, so if you're a streamer who does that sorta thing, please let me know and I'd be glad to give you a follow.
Cheers, all. See you out there. PointlessCasserole

Just visited Scottsdale for the first time, and I absolutely LOVED it. I played TPC, The Boulders, Greyhawk and Wildfire and had an amazing experience. Didn't get to play Troon North, though. One course was closed for construction, and the other had just punched their greens, so I decided to pass. I have a good friend who works at Whisper Rock, but even HE couldn't get me on that course! Would LOVE to go back someday and check out Troon CC! Cheers!!

Hello, I am Zahi and I am from Somalia. Not really, but that is my XBL name and thought I'd use it here if I start playing on one of the tours here. I was a credited beta tester for TW2004, discovered TGC 2019 and really am impressed. I'm puzzled about something here that hopefully someone can comment on. I joined TGC True Sim Tour just last night, but am struck by the idea players using Pro and Master clubs play on the same tour. Seems like it would encourage everyone to play Pro clubs, no?

Welcome to TGC Tours community I hope you enjoy your time here. The use of both Pro and Master clubs on True Sim would be to attract players to take part in it. There are members of the community that find either set either too easy or too hard, and as it is a stand alone tour so there is nothing gained from it. The CC flights are the same although the promotions are split 50/50 between club sets (75/25 in favour of Masters in CC-A).
