Well, started with 11mph winds... which kind of stayed throughout all 4 days, dropping as low as maybe 5 or 6 mph, but also hitting 13-14. Pretty steady around 8-11 for the 4 rounds - was this the same for you dudes? I played my socks off, I really did - but a Triple and Double in the final round has stitched me right over! I saw the same winds as you Dan.

I played with winds of around 7mph throughout. Didn't affect the rounds too much.
I learned on the practice round which pins to attack and which ones to be a little more cautious on.. I took advantage of the par 5's. Most of them are fairly easy birdies chances.
I know people have struggled with these greens but I much prefer the faster greens.
Good luck everyone!

As a fairly recent participant also, these folks at tgctours who created this environment have made this game worth the money.

I always do really well and then bomb out, either right there in the round for a couple holes, or I'll just totally tank an entire round. I had one tourney I shot like a 71 then a 86. I can't keep it together. For instance.... I just got my first TGCT tourney Ace in round one. I thought things were going well, then BOOM, hit the wall for a couple holes. www.tgctours.com/Tournament/holebyhole?tournamentPlayerId=46785

LOL Sounds like me fellas.... I actually had seven birds on round one but I always have a hole or three where I get a 7 or 9... ha ha
Was watching a video from Brionne how he hits his approaches using loft and fade and unfortunately I practiced this method on tour rounds, I must say it worked well, but my putter just absolutely kills me most rounds....
One hole I think mid-round (par three where pin is on top left of green) I hit my drive short in the rough, Tried to loft up to pin, rolled back off green, then chipped over green, then missed easy putt, then missed return putt... I just started laughing.. I believe I ended with a 9 on that par three... Was like +8 at the turn on round four, then finally put a run together to finish only +4 ha ha
Love the tours, folks here do a wonderful job.... Maybe Ill put it all together soon.... Either that or get demoted for stinky play ha ha ha
Thanks for the kind welcome gang....

I think we're all here because of those browns or our putting, just try to stay away from those ghosts at the top of the leaderboard or it depresses you more when you roll that 5 footer an inch by!
Its a great community, have to say. Things get done and sorted and generally the boards pay plenty of respect. Nice to see.
Again, good luck everyone.

Round 3 was disastrous for me, I think I put in a 77 after some horrible putting on two holes. Overall I enjoyed the course, but after some great scores in the practice rounds I struggled to hit birdies. Round 4 everything came together for me though which was a good way to make up for the previous round.
In total I put in E, -1, +4 and -7. Solid showing but the first two round of just ok golf really knocked me back from where I wanted to be after 4 rounds on this course.

LOL how many times I've rolled one by from a few feet( too many) .... I made a snake from about 40 feet for bird on one round then missed at least ten 8-12 footers the rest of tourney ... Ultra realistic though and man these tour directors have really put together something special ... Good luck gang see you on the greens ( or the rough in my case ha ha ) Terry

It's the most I have struggled in weeks. Didn't help that I had the putting stutters on the PS4 where it jumps ahead and you leave the long putts short. I reckon it cost me probably close to 10 shots. The one descent round I had was the last and I still had issues with it. Had a long putt on the last for birdie or eagle and it was lucky to go a third of the distance, pumped the next past the hole and ended up with a double in frustration. Anyway, good to have you on board Terry Cheers Stu

In case I wasn't the last guy to notice it, the "TGCT - Tips & Tricks (approach, chipping & putting)" chart in the Driving Range section was edited/updated recently with yardage changes. Just thought I'd make it known for those that use it. Cheers, and have a great day.

It would be good when you are playing a practice round if you could plays holes over and over again without having to play the complete round. Maybe designate before you start that it is a practice round. I notice on the leaderboard that there are players that are withdrawn but now we can see scorecards that they have actually played rounds. I didn't know that you could withdraw mid-tourney?
