Well that was my worst round ever on the tour. What a bad start to my time on the CC-B. I wasn't going to play last night after an awful round on a links course, my swing was all over. I had previously started scoring -5,-6s etc. I decided to do a practice on Victory to finish the night. It was going so well. My swing was back and I was -4 after 6. I decided to go for my first round on the tour. What a huge mistake, I started hooking it from the first shot. I scrambled to even par after 7 and then make a great birdie on the difficult 8th. I though here we go, two par 5's to make easy birdies and I'll be fine. My swing consistency had gone again and I only managed pars. I then hit it in the water on the 12th(Back to the tee!) and doubled. That was it for my round, another double on 15 and a bogey on the 14th left me +4 going onto the final par 5. I hit my tee shot so far left that I couldn't even make the fairway on my second, another bogey. +5, I can't believe it. My worst round non-open qualifying ever. What a time to do it. (PS I love having the whole scorecard on the site now I just wish it looked much much prettier) Now I wish we had a cut, I have to play 3 more rounds

Hi everyone!
I'm having terrible frame rate issues with this course - especially when putting. It was happening last week when I was practicing the course and again last night when I played round 1 of the tournament. This led to a score of 81 (8 over par). The thing was stuttering like crazy when putting either causing the putts to go far to far or way to short. :-(
Any one else having frame rate issues with this one?

I've had problems on other courses but not this one. I just played badly. I'm on PS4.

Dean - I know how that feels - I did it on the open qualifier. A 78 opening round killed it completely! But, pick yourself up and start the next round fresh. The beauty about this game is who knows what will happen!
I always struggle with putting but yes I found it very stuttery (is that even a word??) - more on tee and fairway. As if my nerves needed it!!!
Good luck to those joining it late!

The Par 3 7th hole is a tough one! How many have made a birdie on it? I actually aced it! I believe it was the 3rd round (might've been the 4th , can't remember)...it'll show up in my scorecard in the next couple of days (which, by the way, I also love the scorecards now being shown!). I believe this is my first TGC-Tours hole-in-one. Whichever round it was, it was going horribly awful for the first six holes. I believe I was +2 going into the hole, and my shots were just downright dreadful! Then the ace...and it completely turned my game around! I'm pretty sure it was my 3rd round, which after the ace, put me back to even par after #7. Played brilliantly after that and shot -7 on the last 11 holes of the round. As of the time of this posting, there are currently thirteen of us with 10 shots of the CC-A leader, which is the cut-off for earning an exemption. We'll see how the scores stack up for the last two rounds and see how many of us earn one. I have a feeling that I'll just miss the exemption cut-off by a stroke or two. Good skills, good bounces, and good luck to everyone!

Bigtallchris - that ace is gonna cost you at the TGC bar! Mines a pint, please! Well done btw. The only ace I've had was on a course I'm designing whilst in play mode so don't think that counts :-(
I thought only top 5 earn exemptions or is that for next week if we play CC A? Mightily confused!!!
Also I believe we're currently tied -14 after 2 rounds. Go us!!!

In all flights CC-B and lower you earn an exemption to the flight immediately above you if you are within 10 strokes of the winner of the flight immediately above you. The top 5 (plus ties I believe) is for CC-A getting exemptions to the Web.com our and also the top 5 (again, plus ties I believe) on the Web.com tour getting an exemption to the PGA/Euro tour.

You do have to extrapolate and guess 2 more rounds out. The two CC-A leaders are at -23. Then there is a -20, a couple of -19s, a -18, and then it clogs up -17 and lower. I'd guess that the winner is around -45 given these scores. That means, if my totally hypothetical guess is right, then -35 and up get a CC-A promotion. Not trying to dampen your hopes. But look at it this way.. there are two players 3 strokes ahead of the "pack" in CC-A. Perhaps they faltered slightly in R3 and R4. Maybe the winning score is -42 or so. Then -32s would make it. The many scenarios are numerous. Good luck!

Thanks for clarification. CC A -23 after 2 rounds. Might not happen this time if those scores continue!

Only just seen your post! Don't think I want to play in CC A with those scores! -45 is ridiculous. Hopefully those are the anomalies of the cut process and will be up into web and beyond before long!
Here's hoping at least!

Here's hoping at least! The problem here is that there is a max of one promotion per week, although there are 5+ exemptions a week... That means next week the top 5 and ties got to the Web.com tour on exemption. That helps. But then if this site continues growth, then you have to factor in Q school add-ons and also, then in 2 weeks and each week thereafter, those 4+ on Web.com exemption fall back to play on CC-A. A continuous cycle. Again, a lot to think about, but the fun part is to see how it plays out. Just play your best and the chips fall where they may. I think the rest of the season is for movement of those to their proper tour. Although I see the movement downward moreso than moving upwards. But maybe thats why those that run this site (who do a great job), overloaded the CC flights among the upper tiers. Very good foresight there, IMO.

Mightily confused!!! Also I believe we're currently tied -14 after 2 rounds. Go us!!! Yup, first round at the Victory Golf Club bar is on me!!! Would've been nice to win a new car for the ace, but alas, the sponsorship money on this flight is nowhere near the PGA sponsorship money! @swaeromotion - Yeah, I took all of that into account, and added the fact that many players haven't even posted their scores for the first two rounds yet and have two more nights to do so. My "extrapolation" guess for the CC-A champ is about -42 or -43, which means I would miss the exemption cut by about three or four strokes (I think I finished at -29, I posted my scores on Sunday and can't remember). But that's part of the fun! Waiting and seeing the round scores as they post, and where you shake out after each round's scores become known to all. I doubt I'll make the exemption cut, but it's fun waiting and seeing, knowing that there is a chance!

All good points plus every 3 weeks there's potentially a number of demotions?? Keeps good players in the mix. But as you say it's been designed very well. Loving the game and this only adds to the playability.

I totally forget... when (if) do they post round 3 scores before the deadline at midnight Sat night / Sun morning? For those that have completed their 4 rounds ahead of time, they can guess knowing their scores. But also, how can one truly know how many of those who have not played will play vs. those who wait to see scores to play/post and those who will not play at all? Is their a cut off still in the CC tour for round two since we do not have a cut anymore? Lots of questions and anticipation, etc. Good luck!
