Far too many times the thing wound hitch and I would pound a 5-foot birdie putt 20+ feet past. Not fun.

Love the new stats. I don't remember having that much trouble off the tee box in round 2. That must be where I went into some bunkers.

19 putts 1st round. Think I must have made at least 4 chip ins that round, hence the 61.1% GIR. Not looking forward to the putting stats from last 2 rounds, lost my putting mojo big time during the third round.

I know they say the stats don't show the wind... But the longest drive distances are a pretty good indication! In most cases you're not going to hit 290+ without significant wind aid (or a huge drop off).
Love the new enhancements here.

Only thing worth noting is I hadn't hit a bunker yet by this point.

Anyone play the Web.com tour just to be curious?? I recently joined, and played all 3 events that were available to me in my 3 weeks on Web-A. Made all 3 cuts and had a top 25.
This week's Web.com field is small (91 or so) and it looks like there will be right around 70 to complete 2 rounds in time for the cut, so most everyone will make the cut. I think my score may very well have been good enough for a top 25. I think there are many golfers here that are Web.com worthy and best of luck to those who do get exemptions this week for next week's event up on Web.com! I will be 5 strokes short or so methinks.

I just joined TGC Tours a couple months ago, starting in the Web-A out of Q School. I played poorly (by my standards) the first few events, which resulted in average finishes. My tournament play improved a few weeks ago, and I placed 6th and 16th in my last 2 Web-A events. The 6th place finish was the week of the wind update, so that's definitely encouraging. I think my game is definitely good enough to win on Web.com, maybe even good enough for a top 5 on the PGA Tour if I played really well. However, I'm happy to be in the CC-A after the reshuffle, and hope to earn my way back onto Web.com. Seems like there are some really good players on this tour, so I have my work cut out for me. On a side note, I'm currently sitting at 9th place for the Open qualifier at Swindon Downs, with about 40 players yet to post scores. Hopefully I can stay in the top 10, and make the Open Championship my first "Pro" tour appearance!

Your goals are indeed lofty, but your game seems to be able to achieve some, if not all, of these results. I think I am fitted well for the Web.com tour, but I mean that as no disrespect to the CC-A tour at all. There are some very good players in the CC aggregate tour, many better than I. I would think on the PGA/Euro tour I would struggle for cuts, missing more than not, but I have to look at my more immediate goals first to even think of trying that. Perhaps if you have the time you could play the Web.com event this week? No worries if you can't. More than one staff has given their green light for playing outside of your tour card: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/3798/etiquette-playing-outside-tour-card

The genius of the sponsor exemptions are that the cream will rise to the top. I dabbled my feet in the web tour with 5th and 7th placed finishes in my two appearances so it shows I can compete. I believe I'll get back there soon but I'm gonna have to earn my way in there. I played average at best this week. Maybe I shouldn't have played in 10mph average winds but ah well. Not much difference between web and CC-A at all, the cream will rise when the time is right.

More than one staff has given their green light for playing outside of your tour card: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/3798/etiquette-playing-outside-tour-cardMy putting is really the main thing holding me back from those consistently low scores. I played this weeks Greenbrier Classic PGA Tour event and shot -36, which is a tie for 12th on the PS4. Definitely not anywhere near the leaders -53, but I think it's a respectable score on a tough course. The top guys on the PGA are just on a whole other level when it comes to short game/putting... seems like they never miss from under 25ft and hole out lots of chips. I'll give this weeks Web.com event a try and see how I finish. As you said, I too think the CC-A is full of talent, I'm sure there are lots of guys in our flight that put my game to shame lol. Basically, I just want to settle in a flight where, if playing my best, I'm in contention to win. For me, that will also probably be the Web.com. Until I greatly improve my putting, I don't see myself stringing together the 4 extremely low rounds it takes to win a PGA event.
