Everyone playing in their qualifiers yet?
I went ahead and played lowlander on xb1 since I'm close to the cut line for auto invitiation. I played pretty well I think. Currently sitting in 2nd place at -48.
I'm bored without the site.....

I didn't see any information regarding how to qualify for The Open so I think I may have missed out on it. I was hoping there would have been an email with instructions like we got for other special events but I'm not seeing any in my inbox.

Played the Blackburn event. I can't putt it seems, nor can I avoid missing a fairway by an inch and having a 70% lie. Not sure how I ended up under par on all 4 rounds but the last round was the only one I got close to what I could do. I had a 6 putt on hole 5 round 3 from 20 feet. A 6 putt. 20 feet. I don't even know exactly how.

I played the Swindon Downs qualifier and played pretty damn well for myself. Went -7, -4, -9, -8 for a total of -28.

Played the Blackburn event and posted 3 strong rounds. Started the 4th, and got distracted. In the 10 minutes I walked away, my 7-year old decided to play 4 holes which resulted in being +16 thru 4 holes of the round. I tried to recover best I could but would up with an 80...if nothing else, lesson learned!

Wow. I guess you'll need to get your 7 yr old more practice so he'll be prepared to take over for you next time!! HA

TGC Tours is pleased to announce the following courses as hosts of The Open Championship - Qualifying Tournaments. You can only register for one event so choose wisely! Registration will close Friday, June 19th at 11:59pm et. Late entrants will not be accepted - please double check your registration was accepted by viewing the player field for your event. All qualifying events are listed on the European Tour's tournaments page (that's where you can withdraw/re-register). The top 120 in WGR following the US Open will automatically qualify for The Open Championship - if you are on the bubble please register for a Qualifying Tournament as a precaution. You can withdraw from one event and re-register in another up until the deadline. Good luck! Lowlander Links at Cally Bay by Gene Callahan You will find the greens here to be the softest of the three courses. Should be the lowest scoring course if the winds cooperate. Register at Lowlander Links at Cally Bay Royal Blackburn by Chris Lane With fast greens and medium firmness this will provide a tough test to all entrants Set in the Countryside theme so the winds should be lower here. Register at Royal Blackburn Swindon Downs - The Open by Brian Jeffords Firm and fast is the order of the day here. Links theme so winds can also howl. Expect this to be the toughest course to score on. Register at Swindon Downs - The Open I didn't see any information regarding how to qualify for The Open so I think I may have missed out on it. I've had my 4 year old do this to me multiple times. I've gotten in a habit of just starting a random tournament before I quit for the night if I only play a round or 2 of a TGCT event because he'll go on my XB1 while I'm at work and always goes straight to the "resume competition" option and just starts hacking away lol.

With a bizillion forum threads, that one obviously did not catch my eye. Was there an email sent out to everyone like there was for the US Open?

To answer your question, yes there was an email sent out. 6/9/2015 was the date of the email. I received a notification via email on that date @ 10:30am e.s.t.
Make sure you don't have tgct emails marked to go to your junk mail, deleted email, etc

4 under through 36 - not nearly good enough.
I was 6 under coming into 15th hole of round 1... I had a downhill birdie putt that I hit too hard and ended up in the massive depression to the right of the green. Then took three tries to get back up on the green... Triple killed any chance I had. Also, my putting is the main reason I'm on CCA and not Web.

I might have to get my youngest, 3, to start doing that. I'm almost positive he'd better than I.

So upset.
At Swindon -3 after round one.
was -4 in rd 2 but finished at +3 thanks to a +7 on one hole (14 I think) and the only hole all round I shot over par.
-7 after 2 would be very promising. E.. not so much.
and now my will is broke and rd3 is going to hell. (+2 after 5) I quit and am going to cry myself to sleep. Good luck everyone!
