I will skipper the Grid Munchers if longpole doesn't want the honours? What does it entail, just picking the team order each week, so team 1 plays team 2 at say matchplay round 3 so player 1's from each team go against each other and so on? To be honest, I've played a couple of seasons and don't quite know how it works..... Whether you just put the 4 people in order and it stays that way for all 4 rounds... Or, you put an order for all 4 rounds.... Wutpa can probably advise.

Or, you put an order for all 4 rounds.... Wutpa can probably advise. The idea is that each week the captain chooses the running order of his team's players: A, B, C, D. If your team is the 'home' team in a match then that order stays the same through all four rounds, but the 'away' team order shuffles from round to round, so that everyone plays everyone. So, it looks like this: ROUND 1 & ROUND 2 A+B vs A+B ROUND 3 (Stroke play singles) A vs C B vs D C vs A D vs B ROUND 4 (Match play singles) A vs D B vs C C vs B D vs A Across the 6 weeks of the competition each team will play the other teams twice, once at home and once away. The only responsibility that the team captain has is to choose and submit his team's running order each week. The captain can use as little or as much strategy as they wish. Some like to pair up their strongest players for the doubles and some like to mix it up. The captain can change the lineup each week (as most do, to keep their opponents guessing), or can just have the same order each week if they want. I hope that makes sense, but feel free to ask any questions any time if not.

Getting ready to rumble! Just remember to post your full scorecards for rounds 2 & 4 here, as hole by hole scores are needed for the better ball and match play rounds. For the other rounds you just need to give your final score. Good luck! (Except against the Skylarkers 😑)

But it's not a problem if you don't do it for rounds 1&3, that's all. 😀

Happy to Captain our team Nigel. One less thing for you to worry about. Name will be "All Fore One". Couple of questions. What rounds are what. Singles, Matchplay, Better Ball and Foursomes. Round 1: 2 vs 2, stroke play, scores added together Round 2: 2 vs 2, better ball rules Round 3: 1 vs 1, stroke play Round 4: 1 vs 1 match play Paraic has already stepped up for our team (Red Team/Team 2) unfortunately but there's always the made up position of vice-captain... Dirtbags Season 3 scoresheetA suggestion Paul, maybe put score sheet at start of thread, so it's easy to find.

First 2 rounds as a Dirtbag and a Skylarker. schmiff Wutpa mrbump Handy to have the 2 people to tag in my team, decided to tag my Captain as well 😉. First round was one of my best, a few silly errors of judgement cost me in the second. Hopefully my team mate can cover me on the par 5, 5th hole. Anyway, here we go. Skylarkers rule !!! Round 1 Round 2

Cheers To clarify, we need scorecards for Rounds 2 and 4 as these use hole by hole scoring. For rounds 1 and 3 we only need the total score, although scorecards are still fun.

It's also in my signature though. Heck of a start for your first Dirtbags rounds and our team, great shooting!

I've been away this weekend (and still am), but I'll be back home in 12 hours and will do it then.
