So boys there it is. First ever missed cut in a PGA Tour event. Words of advice: Never take a full week off. I did the same and actually played well. Not sure why, though!

I found the game goes without practice as well. It's funny how I can take 3months between real life rounds and still go out and shoot a good score, but a week off a video game and I can't move a stick down and up an inch anymore.

Thought my +1 R3 would have sent me down further than I have. Still lots of people to post though so could be further, from tied 5th to tied 32nd. Hopefully gain a bit of ground with my -6 R4. Still not going to help me reach my goal of top 25 WGR

I'm done for this week. Finished... well... not too bad:
R1: 68 (-4) R2: 64 (-8) R3: 67 (-5) R4: 65 (-7)
Total: -24
I don't know really why, but in all four rounds I extremely struggled on the front nine. Gladly, I could nicely recover on the back nine throughout my rounds. Holes #15-#18 where almost definite birdies in all of my plays.
Once again, I played quiet steady. Without doing anything really spectacular. But on that (awesome) course, I'm fine with it.
Moving on to next week!

Last three holes are very birdie friendly on back. Holes 1-3 have potential but then it's tough until the back to back par 5s but even those aren't automatic.

I think for 3 of my 4 rounds I birdied the first 3 holes, just to go on a par streak until the backnine. I'm glad to hear that's pretty typical. Happy with my -12 in round4, may bounce me back into a top10 finish!

I went 66,66,65,67 = -24 for the tournament. It's decent, but I think it could've been better.. I think I couldve gotten it to -30. I hit some good shots for the most part, but missed a few make-able birdie putts and had a couple of bad bogeys. That final round, I parred 2 of the par 5s which was pretty disappointing. But, after missing the cut the last 2 weeks, this tournament is a good momentum starter. Now time to focus a LOT of time & energy trying to qualify for the Open!

So I fired a massive - 1. Total choke job. Had some tough winds but I rolled putt after putt beside the hole. Even flopped one off the pin and back off green for bogey. And I lipped 3 birdie chips as well. I wore black because I heard Phil Mickelson say once there have been studies that black represents attack mode. I think the course wore the shirt... Lol... And the pants today.... All in all a good tournament, will b changing my name here at tgc to pistmypantz@growlingfrog...

I had you as one of the guys that would be passing me in the standings. I have totally been there though. Two tournaments I was within distance of the lead and choked badly. Experience will help.

Managed to finally string four decent rounds together for -31 total. -11 in round 3 and then didn't choke it up in rd4 for a change and managed -8 in 12-15 winds.
Having played the frog quite a bit probably helped - but funny thing is that I had shot mostly over par on it getting beaten badly by Rod until last weekend.
This should help my sliding WGR a bit.

Nice job, Sloaner! I choked up a bit on the final round, and you killed it. Well deserved win.
