Death, Taxes, and SkyBlueBen posting -18 at the cut... Haha you're consistently on that number Ben. Got mine all in yesterday. Busy week this week. Finished at -53 and -24 at the cut which tbh I think MIGHT be tight enough around there. I'd expect it to be very low. Played well tee to green. Few stupid putts but solid.

Always left rueing missed opportunities!! Should have been a few shots better.

-12 first round this week, missed a couple of easy putts but otherwise a good round. I like the course, great visuals but entertaining to play as well. Hopefully make the cut to play it three more times.

Hopefully make the cut to play it three more times. You ain't lying! I just practiced the front nine conditions. Shot 5 under par by barely missing a 10-foot birdie on 9. But man, what a nice course. Visuals like you say and the greens are really nice. Loving the look and feel of these greens! None of this BS Bumpy European Garbage (jk jk). Anyways... even if I don't make the cut or I get demos this course is gonna be fun!

That course and set up was music to my ears. I'm pretty sure I get rid of my last red ball this week. Maybe even pick up a greenie. You Never Know! R1 (-11) R2 (-13)

Well I started off like a freight train (-8 after 9) before pressing the weekly self destruct button on 10 taking 4 attempts to get my ball up the slope from the light rough having hit my second a fraction short. I never recovered, closing rd1 at -8 and believing an opportunity missed. Managed to then play one of my greatest ever rounds in shooting 57 to sit at -24 after 2 and surely a cut made and a demo removed. Can't quite believe it. The cut mark is going to be at least -20 this week, maybe -21 depending on who is yet to play. Some good scores this week look like picking up demos.

I had a crappy second round, just one of those ones where nothing seemed to work properly, and also had a bogey on 17 because the game glitched in the backswing and I didn't react quickly enough to stop and reset, instead slammed it forward and went in the left bunker.
Got to -20 which is just holding on right now but I expect it'll fall outside the cut by tomorrow arvo.

Don’t quite get it sometimes. Everyone tearing up this course yet I never felt comfortable on it at any time. Enjoyed it and played the last 2 rounds anyway for a bit of practice. Guess it just didn’t suit my hit and hope style of game!!

This could have been the week to mess it up. I usually leave it to Wednesday to play, of course we have this whole PS Plus thing making the game free and everything seems to be grinding to a halt, probably because of all that...
No problem when you can still find an opening for a good feeling to play. I found it between right about here as I type and about an hour ago, because a pair of -13s has me up on -26 at half. Goodbye last demotion mark unless I somehow can't finish. Unreal how it took a near demotion to finally start turning stuff around.
Apologies to the -20 crowd in here, this guy booted you out.
Cheers, good luck!

Guess it just didn’t suit my hit and hope style of game!! My game is very erratic overall. I'm capable of 14 under par rounds and Even Par Rounds. I can't even break 40 under in CC in like Forever but I'm erasing Demo Marks in Elite. Makes No Sense. And I got wrecked in Kinetic this week so far. (-7) (-3) (-5)

Wow. So -21 misses the cut this week and demos start at -18. That's the reward you get for shooting under par across half the course. No surprise to me that people have stopped playing this and they're now coming cap in hand looking for donations to keep things going into next season.

Even as someone who has pushed really hard for legend swing / no grids on the tours I think they're stuck between a rock and a hard place here. There will be grumbles when scoring is so low, but not that long ago when 21 got patched to be more difficult the playerbase disappeared until the tours went to Pro. It's lose-lose really. As anyone who keeps an eye on the kinetic thread will see 👀 (and I think hmammoth is great!) Impossible to please everyone and I think catering to the majority is probably the right call and let other societies spread out and provide an additional option alongside these events. I'll be sticking to TST, and some other societies next season and I'll get plenty of enjoyment from that.

And I do get that but I think also you've got to be more flexible in finding a way to engage with the more casual player. Top 65 each week is too rigid. I remember as a former Platinum player, the top 30 were nailed on every week before a ball was struck which left circa 110 players battling for 35 places. It became soul destroying missing the cut every week by a shot or two. We're all capable of worldly rounds to get back up the leaderboard. I did it this week in round 2. A player sat on -15/ -16 after two is more than capable of shooting -30 for the last 2 rounds to end up with a good finish. Too often you're not afforded the chance and for some this week, they're playing Kinetic next week. I do accept they're damned if they do and dammed if they don't and satisfying everyone is impossible but no way should players be missing cuts shooting under par on more than half the course.

Believe me mate I've been there and I'd say we want the exact same things. It's one of the main reasons I like true sim there's a bit more ebb and flow throughout the four days. Honestly though just from trying to encourage people to try out some other settings it's really hard to get players in and I think the vast majority prefer these settings. And at the end of the day, fair enough! You might want to check out Tough As Nails (TAN) and Simulation Tour. They're on the society boards. Both legend swing true sim and lots of fun. One round and four respectively. Probably stick to TAN this week as Sim Tour the scheduler (me, lol) ballsed up the course setup a fair bit...
