Does Project Cars support VR? I got an occulus rift headset my mate is lending me, though I really want to test it out on Elite Dangerous which I just installed...
Wonder if it is compatible with TGC as well

Could you please make a new thread for Project Cars? I would love to read about it, but not here.
Regarding the course, as I stated earlier as Shite, it has to be seen in light of the upgrade for Pc-users. Many of the holes has a layout that calls for a draw/fade, especially when the wind is from the wrong direction. And with the new update, the Cone on tee-shots with the Driver gets supersmall with only a few clicks fade/draw, so it is a super-small margin of error.
The other thing I disliked is this. The putting system is not perfect, and in my opinion it seems they tweeked the putting some more in the update, making it even harder to hit the cup, at least it felt like it, I have never had so many puts make lip-outs ever! And when the designer of the course make 90% of the greens with a LOT of moving shadows from surrounding trees, for me at least, the putting just got impossible. Also I have to mention pins on edges of BIG tiers that makes it just super-hard to put, as it wasnt tough enough already. I saw someone mention puts racing by the hole, and I experienced the same a couple of times. Lined up a put that I thought should be easy, about 15 feet, and ended up over 15 feet away... Im not that bad a putter in RL, and not in here either so that was a kick in the nuts. Obviously not all of this is the courses fault, but I didnt like it, and nothings gonna change my mind. Luckily, and not surprisingly, I missed the cut, so now I can focus on the BIIIIG tournament next week!
Good Luck.

I think it has been mentioned in other threads but the newest PC update did not change anything to do with the putting.
I know they added a driving difficulty setting which is the exact same as changing the loft but it did not change the size of the cone for fade and draw shots.
If you want you can check the patch notes. I am not sure where to find them as I just check the announcements on Steam.
The only thing that may be affecting your swing/putting is the memory optimisation they did.

BS. I used Draw/fade A LOT With my driver before the patch, but after the patch, at least on tee-shots, Draw/fade has much more impact on the cone than earlier. And as I wrote, it cant be just coincidence that puts just dont want to drop, but lips out more than ever.

If that's what you think man but I was only trying to explain the facts of the matter.
I use the draw and fade a lot also and I have not noticed any difference and went into the game after your post just to see if I was mistaken but nothing.
Maybe it is just coincidence man, I cant really say for sure but again you should check patch notes if you are so sure about it.
Pretty certain that HB has even confirmed there has been no changes to either of these aspects of the game.

Sir Andrew have you thought about starting your own thread about the cone??? P Cars has been mentioned, its not all that has been talked about.
Its a community of ppl sometimes things get a little off topic. Hope you get answers. I know and talk to several guys that play on PC and they have not mentioned anything about the issue that's bugging you.

And as I wrote, it cant be just coincidence that puts just dont want to drop, but lips out more than ever. HB stated that using loft/deloft fade/draw has a greater effect the more you miss from perfect, so this is true and has been stated. What they said was there would be a more negative effect on missed loft/deloft, but it is obvious it also goes for fade/draw shots as well. I don't mind this as it makes hitting an off center shot more of a penalty as it should be, especially if you are trying to work it one way or the other. I can't tell you how many times I see people I play with trying to do a power fade in the past, barely keep it in the red and it is perfect. Not anymore HB states they changed nothing with putting but looking back at some of my old videos of putts, one thing i have noticed is that as the ball slows towards the hole, the ball is breaking more. This would explain your "lip outs". I'm not saying this is a bad change since it is more realistic in RL for me. It took me a while to nail down why my putting suffered as I'm a putter that 90% of the time played hole speed, while friends like Brionne didn't seem effected but he mostly plays a few feet beyond the hole and powers through the break.. the times he would miss would be on the downhill putts where he was more or less forced to use a lighter touch. So as a suggestion if you are going to use hole speed, give it another click or two above the hole for break and see how you do. This of course if you are finding like me you are suddenly missing most of your putts on the low side.

Unless the roll physics are really wonky the ball does not break more at the end - it breaks more, period (except for the skid phase of course but not clear and unlikely that it's actually implemented).

The more speed you have on a breaking putt, the less it will break. As the ball slows, it should break more. At least this is my understanding of speeed/break.

On to Epson for me dont think -9 is gunna cut it. The worst 4 rounds all year for me. Great shooting Jules. Good luck guys.
I ended up making the cut after all. Not much of a finish, but ill take another cut made. Crazy, I missed the first 3 cuts of the year and now only 1 since. Knock on wood. Still cant put 4 rounds together. Would be nice to finally do that next week go low all 4 days with that $5m. purse up for grabs.

The more speed you have on a breaking putt, the less it will break. As the ball slows, it should break more. I sign that. ^^

The more speed you have on a breaking putt, the less it will break. As the ball slows, it should break more. At least this is my understanding of speeed/break. I meant compared to before the change. Otherwise yes - amount of movement per inch will be more as the ball slows. In real golf there is actually a small but measurable "breaking" effect when the ball goes below a threshold speed and sinks into the grass more. This can make it wobble a bit - especially on slower or uneven greens. Also means that the grain has a larger influence on the slower rolling ball. But no grain for us to worry about in this game....

I am currently in the clubhouse waiting anxiously for the last few players to complete their rounds, will my -44 be enough to pick up my first european tour victory? Only time will tell, Tom Humphries (t2theb2) appears to be the obvious threat no pressure, good luck dude!!

Have been so impressed with your play recently I even mentioned it in our new monthly TGCTours Digest Looks like Tom needs a minimum on two -12s.. That is going to take some doing. One missed shot, and its over... Nervy times
