Isn't there some rule or decree somewhere about players playing tourneys they're not registered for? There is a certain player on xb1 that's exercising extra curricular activities. I have a serious beef with this. I won't name this player but if he's reading this, he knows he's the only one that's in the wgc to play 4 rounds at killigrew. This needs to be policed and stopped immediately.
Lets all all just have a free for all and make it impossible for the tgct team.

Anyone can play a tournament, they're not locked. But those scores are not counted (or shouldn't be...technology could fail, I guess)

Nothing we can do to stop people playing the events in-game - but if he's finding some way to have two accounts and submitting scores to two events on TGC Tours, then we have rules in place to punish that.

I get that. From what I understand, and I have conferred with others, it's something that shouldn't be done. Would be like you or myself going down to champions B and shooting -60 for the hell of it. prospective players might not know that you or I were just practicing. They see these scores and quit. Along with that circumstance, if we were all to just play any tgct tourney, it would create havoc for the admin here. I don't agree with it and I think it should be disallowed.

To be honest, it doesn't do much harm for us verifying scores - we have 3 flights share one leaderboard on the web - we just skip the guys we're not looking for.

When I moved up to PGA I had played a couple web.com & Euro events, just to see where I would finish. I don't think it's a big deal , doesn't count on tgctours.

Also see lots of really high scores from people who obviously don't play on tgctours. I say more power to them, why should we hoard all the fun.

I think it's slightly disrespectful to the people playing the tourney for real. There is nothing stopping anyone from just playing four normal rounds and comparing scores to the leaderboard, so I don't understand the motive for playing other people's tournament. B
ut then again this is a video game that we play for fun and I doubt anyone will be harmed by it in the long run....

I regularly play the other tournaments out of interest and I'm on Xbox so I may be the culprit. As far I'm aware it's not an issue for admin so why should it bother you, after all TCG is just the tool and available for anybody to play, TGCT is what matters.

I would think that after while you would know who is not on that tour, as long as they don't have multiple accounts and aren't posting on tgctours, then I don't have a problem with it.

I guess if they are constantly winning that lower division, then I would find that kinda shady.

I'll be honest, I've played a few of the other tours outside of the PGA just to see the type of courses they play and how my scores compare. But, having said that, I always only play 1-2 rounds on other tours. I won't play all 4 rounds on any of the other tours so that I keep my name off of the final leaderboard.

Thanks to everyone for not calling the individual out or anyone else. There's nothing to be done about this. It has no bearing on the tournaments as they are conducted here.
Obviously, we'd prefer people not do it to keep the leaderboards clean but we've got bigger fish to fry than this. No disrespect to those who feel strongly about it.

As far I'm aware it's not an issue for admin so why should it bother you, after all TCG is just the tool and available for anybody to play, TGCT is what matters. Completely agree with this. I've just started on the PGA Tour and seeing how good some of my fellow tour players are (when taking my first two rounds as a comparison - and I'm not in the same league sadly!), it's unlikely I'll be there for long.
So taking that into account I'd like to try the Web and Champions tournaments out so I can get a feel for where I realistically should be playing. I can't see why it would harm anyone as the TGC is just the tool as has been said and the leaderboard on TGCT is the only one that matters.

Just so long as a person isn't playing multiple tournies and then submitting the scores for the one they shot better in.
