Why are the scores so low, 50 under par is ridiculous.

Why are the scores so low, 50 under par is ridiculous. Because it's a video game.

Hi !
As a Qualifier who left the beer league I am wondering how the almost 400 qualifiers will be divided. 3 pro tours and 12 challenge tours...that makes 15 tours overall...does that mean that about 26 players will be assigned to each tour based on their final 4 round score ? If I calculate this correctly...could be CC H Tour if I manage to be ranked 240 - 260th ? I ask because I don't see a cut-line after round 3 so far...
Would be nice to get a short explanation,
with greetings from Germany,
Ralf

Not sure when that will be up but it seems like it should be soon? Maybe?

Would be nice to get a short explanation, with greetings from Germany, Ralf There's a formula that calculates whether a person makes one of the 3 pro tours (it's based off the 20th place score of CC-A) - so those are unknown to me until I finalize. The rest are placed in the Challenge Circuit based off the max field limits I set for each flight. Last season that limit bounced around as I had to adjust for how many Qualifiers were participating. We ended last season at 75 per flight - but will be bumping back up based on participation this week. My goal is to get at least 75% (likely more) that finish all 4 qualifying rounds a tour card. I won't know exactly how many until Sunday and we have final numbers.
Example: If I set max CC field at 100 and 92 complete CC-A that week, the first 8 qualifiers (after those who get Pro Tour Cards) will go to CC-A. If a flight has over 100 people finish that week, there are no cards available for it and we move down to the next one. So based on how many available slots there are, I make sure we have enough qualifiers to fill those.
This keeps the flights evenly populated and allows us to adjust for how many people we have on tours. Ideally we get to a point where changing the max fields isn't needed/locked in and at that point the tours are running at full capacity and the qualifying pool is used to back-fill those leaving the game/TGCT or getting demoted out of CC-L.

Scott, a question going forward and forgive me if I’m missing something obvious. There are a huge number in qualifying this week (400 at time of writing). You will set an ideal tour size and they will be filled to that size with the qualifiers. Week 2 is then played out with “ideal” tour size. Then in week 3 we have a promo which is again based around the “ideal” tour size. As the tours will already have been filled to ideal size the week before how will this leave room for promotions without increasing the ideal size leaving the possibility of emptying out the lower tours. Or will those places be filled by qualifiers who perhaps missed out in week 1? Just trying to understand how a promo so early in the season will work.

Plan is to grow the tours slowly (ie increase the ideal tour size each week) so that when the Promo Event hits we still have room to bump the ideal tour size. We've run CC flights as high as 200 per flight before so we've got plenty of room to grow. Not sure how many pro tour cards will be available for the Promo Event as a lot of people have come back - but I usually make at least a couple avail even if they are full. Will be plenty of promotions in the CC flights as I want to make sure we resort as quickly as possible.

I made a post elsewhere about the game coming to PS free in October. It is and I would imagine further influx here , albeit a lot of folk wont know and dont know tours exist.

Hey Guys I'm sorry I believe I'm making this more difficult than it is. I played the beer league rounds already as I was originally part of beer league then I decided I wanted to do cc so I changed over joined the cc society and played those 4 rounds as well I went to edit profile and took the checkmark off beer league. I just don't see my name on qualifying for the cc on website. Does it show at the end of event. Thanks guys appreciate it sorry to be a hassle.

It is too bad HB/ 2K puts out a new patch a few days ago( I think sept 27) and now the master settings is where it should have been after the original two spring updates. Now in master settings you still get penalized with a red fast/ red slow but not as bad as the spring update. And the bunker shots are better as well, no more 2 foot duffs if you miss tempo badly. You will still get penalized but not as bad now…this is where the updates should have been back in the spring…..masters is not that bad now….. ok, let’s put the tours back to Master Settings now, lol…..I know, a week too late…..

I’m not positive but I think since you already completed your Beer League rounds you may need to wait until Week 2 to play the qualifying as you need to jump out of the Beer League….

Why are the scores so low, 50 under par is ridiculous. LOL, its a @!$#ing video game. We're not swinging into a screen with a GC Quad and a Golf Sim setup. We're swinging our mice or control stick. If you want realistic Golf Sim scores, go to your local course and join a Sim League.
