Welcome to Ireland and welcome to Fiddler's Elbow GC This course has been inspired by a combination of courses spread across the Irish Midlands that I have played in real life with its wooded perimeter and more open interior which had clumps of trees rather than extended woodland. I have tried to give views through to other holes when playing to give a glimpse of either upcoming holes or maybe a memory of a hole that has already been played. In typical Irish fashion please pack your waterproofs as the round is best enjoyed in the rain which is a default setting. I'm aiming this course at about the Kinetic tour level. The course is a Par72 measuring 6,938 yards from the tips and has 2 tee options. I hope you all enjoy your round and feedback is greatly appreciated.

Really nice job with this Allan.
I know it's based in Ireland but after a couple of holes it all felt very familiar to me having played most of my IRL golf on inland countryside courses in the UK with very few bells and whistles, under grey clouds and with the threat of rain a constant companion. If that's the sort of thing you were trying to emulate, I think you've nailed the overall atmosphere - it all felt very comfortable and familiar!
As always with your courses, I thought the understated planting and grass-work were well done. I'm not sure if it was a conscious decision but the greens felt a little less penal than some of your other courses (but I still struggled to make anything). I thought they fitted the overall feel of the course nicely.
Despite only shooting -2 I thoroughly enjoyed the round. Will be going playing again to try and shoot lower!

Great course Allan, it has that understated local course feel with the overcast and rain adding to the Irish vibe. The bunker work is great and I felt the more subtle green slopes make it appear easier than it actually is.

Really enjoyed this course, Allan. The aesthetics worked and the course offered a good mix of strategic hole designs throughout the round.

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments. Glad you enjoyed playing it. Tried to do a bit of an easier course as a lead into my CC design.

Great course Alan, loved the simple planting. The short par4 Hole 9 was definitely my favorite.

Finally got a chance to give this a run myself. This is a sneaky great. Awesome enviornment and subtle startegy that rewards those observant to it. The course doesn't grab you and say "Hit here for the best line" it's all up to the golfer to discover it. Good job Allen as always!
