This being my first ever event in TGC tours having just stepped up to the Mstr settings , i found the course to be a real "Par grind " . My irons were just off and therefore spent most of my 2 rounds pitching back up onto the raised greens . I feel this course should have been on a Pro Tour with small raised greens . As for lowly CC-L status at +7 for two rounds , I am disappointed with my first effort on Tour and may not make the cut , but it was a great experience and the grind will continue !!!! Good Job TeeeJ9798 You will enjoy each week. Always play practice rounds to familiar yourself with the course of that particular week. And just take it one hole at a time. Your scores will improve as you play each wk.

Cheers zooby97 , was actually +6 and made the cut , played round three and had 69 , 3 birds and an eagle on the back 9 , to dampen those damm slow pitch shots. I am hooked and will happily play my way hopefully up the leagues . Thanks for support and will definitley play practice rounds. Just got to learn to slow down .

-3 second round. Dunno why but just couldn't get anything going on this course, which is unusual for me on courses I enjoy playing on. I wasn't exactly putting myself in bad positions regularly or anything, just a lot of putts that missed by hardly anything.
Looks like I'm missing the CCA cut by one shot at this point.

Practice rounds? Lol I remember those days. Good luck on your journey Cy Langers BSG, try not to fall in to the trap of taking it too seriously and you'll have a blast! Second successive 63 to make the cut comfortably, happy with that. 3-putted from 10 feet on 16 which was annoying, but other than that played pretty well. That course played LONG in round 2 with the soft conditions and high wind. I have decided I really like the course, it's a bit different which is a difficult thing to achieve. But, I really hate the lighting. Way too dark, can't see a thing in some spots. Still, far better a great course with sh%$ lighting than a sh%$ course with great lighting! That's what my grandma used to say anyway.

Should make CCcourses seem easier then.

Well, the course is unique. The complete opposite type of asskicking Fulton provided 2 weeks ago. Whereas that course doom was conceded off the tee, this one provides the illusion of great drives that don't materialize into birdies. The wind compounded decision making into tight greens that will send you 40 yards off if you miss by a foot. I played all four rounds, even though I was not going to make the cut because it was fun, and also provided opportunities to try a lot of different shots. I got caught with too many "tweeners"... too long to play my 4 iron into the wind, but way too short to comfortably go at with a hybrid. 3 of the four rounds I bogeyed 1 by missing a putt less than 8 feet. Just brutal.
And Hole 10 is just mean... I had a 220 yard approach into the wind on a par 5.
I had few tips that were working, like clubbing down 3 on the downhill Par 3, laying way up on 18, and just Hulk-smashing the short Par 4. There were a few landing spots that worked way better on the approach due to slope that isn't visible from the tee... a couple landing areas that are not as tight as they look and will kick your drive forward ~50 yards.
Played well in the Promo event, but have choked three straight cuts. Mostly just not converting the 5-20 footers

-12 -6 -13 -6 for a grand total of -37 in CC B. Greens felt completely different to me in rounds 2 and 4. Hopefully should be enough to land me a top 10-20 after MC in my first tournament last week
Ended up playing a practice round before and dropping a pitching wedge in favor of adding a 4 iron to close off some gaps. It seemed to help more than it hurt if anyone is considering the same. I had a bunch of long iron shots

still having a lot of trouble with this one, did not make the cut, but still playing my rounds out because its good practice for me.
Just reporting in, in the midst of my woes, in round 3, I somehow aced hole 17. Theres always a silver lining!

8pm EST on 4/24 and the tournament is closed? Hopped on to play my last two rounds and next week is already up. Pretty brutal way to get rid of my promo marks. Any way I can not take the W/D?
