If this thread turns into another "how to increase scores/make the game tougher" thread, Im going to repeat what I ALWAYS say... Turn off the grids. You dont think you can read the greens? Congrats, welcome to real golf! Pros IRL always have a couple putts that break the opposite way of what they thought.
It'll also help with the talent gap between top Platinum players and Elite+ players on that top tour. No grids means putting/short game gets a lot more inconsistent so scores in general become more inconsistent. The main problem on the pro tours, especially plat, isnt the super low scores (although it is an issue). The main issue is scores are too consistent, so top players are always at the top and players at the bottom get stuck in an endless promo/demo cycle.
EDIT: The best putter on the RL PGA Tour is JT at 1.658 putts/hole. Based on this Firethorn Cup, IRL JT would beat only the bottom 4 putters. The top putters here vs IRL JT is a difference of almost .5 putts/hole.

In the last CC-F event I had one promo mark going into that tournament and finished 15th and was awarded 1 promo mark which should have given me 2 to start this week’s tournament. My promo mark still says one. ??

zooby, It looks like the last event you played in CC-F was your first on that tour and that you had promoted up from CC-G. If that is the case I think your promo marks from the previous tour are cleared when you move up so you have one mark from the last tournament in CC-F which is the only tournament on that tour. Seems right to me.

Have you looked at TST leaderboards, the winners are also almost always the same, the scores are still in the 35 to 50 under range (ok maybe instead of 45 to 65 under range) for the week. And that creates weird af fragmentation where you play a completely different game the second you get to Plat. And yes TST doesn't have the preview cam / aiming (whatever it's called), but as long as you know the course, that's basically useless if you're good at the game (I still get along just fine playing red fasts when having to aim off the green right etc...)

The other reason why the game could be a lot better. The game is supposed to be played by trying to get perfect tempo, and anything off will be off-line. The issue is everyone playing for red fasts because they're easier to hit and are still super consistent. Red fasts and red slows should produce terrible shots that are also random so everyone is forced to play for a perfect.

Sometimes they play the same course (usually if there is a good IRL course for the IRL PGA event and/or Major), but otherwise the courses are easier and set up more tame on TST.
