Being a sand belt residence, I have been lucky enough to play both courses through a friend.
An five star rendition and tough.
Thanks for sharing and look forward to seeing the east and west, if you are able to complete them.
Cheers Brian

What? No Royal Sandringham as well? 😜 Thanks all for the support. Like always, I've found a couple of minor errors after publishing but I guess that will happen when I go looking for them. I had a couple of people ask if I was going to publish without the crowds etc and while I won't be publishing the composite again, I will finish up the West course and publish it without the tournament objects, etc. I also squeezed all of the East course (and most of Victoria GC lol) on the same plot so I 'may' do the East at some stage later. Looking forward to playing this one when I’m home at the end of the week. Is there any function in the game to play this in a typical summer HOT northerly wind? I highly recommend a hot northerly and 187 greens for that true authentic experience. I should have added thousands of flies too

I should have added thousands of flies too ... and the progressively dirtier ankles/calves, as the round goes on, from sand accumulating on top of sunscreen.

Was this done with Lidar data, cos a number of the greens are sloping in the opposite direction to what they do in real life rest of the stuff (planting etc) was awesome as always

Was this done with Lidar data, cos a number of the greens are sloping in the opposite direction to what they do in real life rest of the stuff (planting etc) was awesome as always There is no lidar available for any Melbourne courses so everything has to be done by measurements/images, etc. I had some similar comments with my own course, Peninsula Kingswood with my last RCR and I knew those greens intimately. Basically the greens are the hardest part to perfect on any RCR done without lidar and I don't think you'd ever get any perfect IMO. I've only played RM a couple of times and it was years ago so the best I could do on the greens was to get the macro measurements of the greens and then sculpt the slopes from images and highlights. I don't doubt I got some wrong in parts but I did my best and spent many hours watching videos of rollouts, etc. If you're a RM member and know the greens perfectly, I might hit you up in PM to see if you can run your eye over them before I publish the West course. Thanks for the feedback.

I cant imagine how hard it would be (and how many hours) to do a good RCR without Lidar. Im not a RM member, so not the best person to get the greens exact. I've played both RM a few times and walked it a ton during tournaments. I certainly dont want to be too critical considering how much of the course was excellent. Specifically I found 7 (west 11) had a predominantly left to right slope (irl slopes right to left) and a few other more minor differences.

Very well done RCR. Enjoyed my round tremendously. Those greens are something else! Very challenging but a blast to play 👍🏻! Keep up the good work!

Excellent Job on RM Composite Mate. Like your very realistic course, my score was very realistic too due to some 3 putts. The stuff coming out of your lab is top shelf and it's good to see some more top Oz courses being published. Hi five (or fist bump) and favourite from me.

Seems like I'm not the only one who thinks this may be the best RCR in the game! Huge improvement from the old Colinmafia course that... well, sucked.
Agree with Pithy - I could play this every day and never get bored of it.
