Wow, definitely one of my favorites! I live in Maine and this does capture the environment quite well. Plus it’s just a really good design with some holes that really make you think.

Looks great! I will be playing this as soon as I get on tonight! Absolutely beautiful course and will play again many times! Shot -2 from the golds and CC settings. Ended bogey/bogey but had this near ace on hole 5. Under the old pin mechanics this would have dropped. Only gripe is the rain with the default settings but the rainbow is totally worth it.

gforce41 so what did you think of it? I´ve never been to Maine, this course is just how I would imagine it. It would be interesting to hear from somebody who has actually been there. Very nice, fun, well done! Yes, you definitely got the coastal vibe for someone who has never been there. I like the village on the hill, something I am thinking of incorporating into a design soon. I would go with more smaller rocks for the rocky coast rather than really big ones, but that's just my take. If interested in others check out ddixjr509 Bar Harbor Maine G&CC ...my Penobscot Bay is a highly inspired, almost RCR of The Samoset.

Just played this course as part of a society rotation on Stadia. This course plays like a championship course. There is a hell of a lot of strategy involved. Whichever way you choose to route to the hole seems to set in motion different challenges to overcome. Nothing comes easy on this one.
Very well done.

Really great environment and loved having to think my way through every shot on the course. The tee shot framing starting on 7 is sooo good too.
One thought for your next design is, when building a central hazard, don’t double up on them. If you put in a bunker, don’t also add a tree in the middle of the fairway. If my tee shot finds a central bunker, having a tree right in front of it adds insult to injury.
I’m curious to find out what happened to the golfer who bailed and left his clubs next to the third tee box 🤷♂️😉

Stunning course man. Felt like I was playing a beautiful oil painting out there. I'm a sucker for a well done, immersive environment and this one was really special. Rain is such a rarity, and I thought it worked so nicely here. Superb stuff. 🤙

Really enjoyed my rounds here. One of the best environments created on any course I've played so far. Seems like you put a lot of time into the outside environment as well as the course itself. I like the rainbow a lot, very cool feature. Awesome sight lines off the tee boxes. The Greens are pretty tough, but fair. Nice wide fairways that reward being on the correct side of the fairway. Bunkers are well done. Texture choices look great. Top notch course, one of my favorites. My fiance is from Maine and you definitely pulled off the down by the bay in autumn Maine vibe. Very well done!

There’s a ton of guys that make insanely good courses now...but my legacy will be the first guy making postcards of my course in the complete courses thread. Arctic Fury started doing his postcards after my course, and now it’s a common look...but still my favorite way to present a course!
I will be playing this one this weekend!

This is a top notch design. The view from the tee on 16 should be a marketing campaign! Course is great, lot of risk/reward and strategy. 5 star and favorited to play again and see those little things I know I missed.
